## Description

Turn a rainy afternoon at home into a hands-on search adventure: Skillmatics Found It! gives kids prompts that send them looking for everyday objects, from something with a pattern to something smaller than their palm. It’s designed for ages 4 to 7 and brings movement, observation, and learning into screen-free play.

The portable indoor edition uses familiar surroundings as the playing space, so there’s no special setup beyond having an adult read the prompts.

## What to know

Found It! combines scavenger-hunt play with prompts that help children practice concepts such as phonics, numbers, shapes, colors, and measurements. Kids also get to use observation, logical reasoning, and creative thinking as they search and decide which object fits a clue. The game is cooperative in theme, with a race-to-find mechanic: the first player to spot a matching object calls “FOUND IT!” and wins that card.

The set includes 50 game cards and an instruction manual. Made for indoor use, its travel-sized pack measures 6.69 x 3.74 x 0.79 inches, making it easy to bring along for a visit, a playdate, or a change of activity at school. It received a 2023 National Parenting Product Awards (NAPPA) award.

For families choosing between a seated tabletop activity and a game that gets children moving around the room, this one turns the space they’re already in into part of the play. Buyers describe it as fun and easy to pick up, and appreciate the opportunity it creates to talk and teach while playing.

## How to use it

An adult reads a card prompt, such as finding something with a pattern, and players search the indoor space for a matching object. The first to call out “FOUND IT!” takes the card, the first player to collect seven cards wins. This straightforward format suits a family game night, an indoor party, or a short activity between other plans. With one or more players listed, children can also explore prompts at their own pace with an adult leading the game.

## Tips for day-to-day use

Choose a room where children can move around safely, then read each prompt clearly and give everyone a chance to search. At home, a prompt about colors or shapes can turn familiar objects into a quick learning activity. In a classroom or on a playdate, taking turns reading clues gives children an easy way to join in and share what they find. The compact pack is convenient to carry when you want a screen-free activity for indoor downtime.

## Before you decide

**What ages is Found It! designed for?** It is recommended for children ages 4 to 7, with prompts focused on playful practice of early concepts and observation skills.

**What comes in the set?** It includes 50 game cards and an instruction manual. The cards provide the search prompts used during play.

**How does someone win?** Players race to find an object that matches the read-aloud prompt. The first to collect seven cards wins.

## Final verdict

A solid pick if you want an indoor activity that gets kids exploring rather than staying seated. Its prompt-based card play brings learning concepts into an active scavenger hunt, while the travel-sized format makes it practical for home, school, and playdates.
