5 PLUS Silicone Windshield Wipers 28"/28"/11"
Product description
This set of three silicone wiper blades is designed for Ford Escape models from 2013 through 2019 and aims to deliver quieter, longer-lasting wiping performance for daily driving and rainy conditions. The pack includes two 28" blades for the driver and passenger plus an 11" rear blade, offering a full replacement that focuses on consistent contact and water-shedding on the windshield and rear window.
Key Points
These wiper blades use a silicone-coated rubber strip that, according to the manufacturer, improves weather resistance and resists deformation from heat or cold. During use the silicone can form a water-repellent layer on glass, which helps rainwater bead and run off more quickly to improve visibility. The design includes graphene in the coating to reduce friction and noise while wiping. Installation is tool-free with a snap-on mechanism that the manufacturer describes as a one-minute fit for compatible arms. Note that these blades are not compatible with U/J hook front wiper arms.

Advantages
The silicone strip offers enhanced durability compared with some standard rubber blades, and it tends to remain flexible across temperature changes. This flexibility supports smoother sweeps without hardening in cold weather or softening excessively in heat. The water-repellent action helps reduce streaking between wipes, which can improve short-term visibility during light to moderate rain. Quieter operation is an advantage cited by the manufacturer because of reduced friction from the graphene coating.
Usage Recommendations
Verify your Escape's wiper arm type before ordering, since U/J hook front arms are not supported. For best results, install the blades on a clean windshield to allow the silicone coating to bond to the glass surface as intended. Replace as a full set when wear becomes noticeable or if streaking increases, and consider occasional glass cleaning to maintain the water-shedding effect. Consider that silicone blades can leave a different residue feel on the glass compared with conventional rubber, according to the manufacturer, and they may interact differently with some windshield treatments.
