Shark CarpetXpert EX201 Carpet & Upholstery Cleaner with StainStriker and 3 Tools
Product description
For homes that need to clean carpets, area rugs, upholstery, and pet messes, the Shark CarpetXpert EX201 combines upright cleaning with a built-in spot and stain cleaner. Need to tackle a spill on the stairs as well as dirt across a rug? Its handheld cleaner and three specialized tools make it easy to switch between those tasks.
Tips for day-to-day use
Use the upright cleaner for carpets and area rugs, then extend the built-in spot cleaner for localized messes on stairs or upholstery. The included stain tool, crevice tool, and pet tool are designed for different cleaning jobs, so you can choose an attachment to suit the area. For example, a spill on a couch calls for the handheld cleaner and stain tool, while the crevice tool can reach into narrow spaces.
What stands out
CarpetXpert Technology combines a high-speed brushroll, high-pressure PowerSpray, and suction to lift embedded dirt from carpet fibers. PowerSpray is designed to work deep into the carpet without oversoaking it, helping carpets dry faster. For stains and odors, StainStriker combines two formulas on contact to activate OXY stain removal. Shark states that it provides 20X more stain-removing power than Shark Deep Clean Pro Formula. When used with Shark cleaning solution, the system is designed to tackle odors such as pet urine and smoke rather than simply mask them.
The combination of an upright carpet cleaner and built-in handheld spot cleaner offers a different approach from choosing a machine for just one of those jobs. Customers often praise the cleaner’s ease of use and suction, and some appreciate its drying time. Feedback on water pickup is mixed, and some customers would prefer larger solution and dirty-water tanks.
