## Description

A 90% sun-blocking mesh helps create a shaded spot outdoors while still allowing airflow through the fabric. The Shade&Beyond SBGN060800 measures 6' x 8' and is made from lightweight HDPE. Grommets along the edges make it practical to attach to a pergola or another suitable support.

## Technical overview
- Type: Shade cloth with grommets
- Size: 6' x 8' (96" L x 72" W)
- Material: 200 GSM high-density polyethylene (HDPE)
- Color: Black
- Sun protection: 90% UV protection
- Weight: 2.4 pounds

The mesh is designed to provide shade and heat insulation while allowing airflow. Its UV-resistant fabric helps resist fading, and reinforced double grommets along each edge support attachment. Grommets are spaced every 2 feet, giving you multiple points to secure the cover and distribute tension across the cloth.

## Everyday compatibility
Use the grommets to tie the cloth to a suitable structure, such as a pergola or patio support. The listed mounting types are tie and post mount, making it adaptable to different outdoor setups. Position and secure the edges so the fabric is evenly supported. Its 6' x 8' format offers a defined area of coverage for seating spaces, garden areas, or other spots exposed to direct sun.

Unlike a solid, opaque cover, this breathable mesh is intended to provide shade while allowing airflow and retaining some visibility through the screen. It can also create a degree of privacy without completely blocking the view. Customers often highlight its sun protection, appearance, size, and straightforward installation. Feedback on durability is mixed: some say it holds up well, while others report grommets pulling away from the fabric.

## Best use cases
For a patio or backyard seating area, attach the cloth overhead to create shade for a place to sit outdoors. Its breathable construction suits setups where airflow matters alongside sun protection. In a garden or greenhouse, it can be used as a screen to help shield plants from excessive sun exposure. The mesh can also cover a pet house or provide shade over a play area, provided the installation is appropriate for the structure.

Choose this style when you want a defined shade screen rather than a solid panel. The black mesh offers a simple look for outdoor spaces, and its partially open weave supports both airflow and a measure of visual screening.

## Before you decide
**How much sun protection does the cloth provide?** It is designed to block 90% of the sun and provide 90% UV protection, making it suitable for creating a shaded outdoor area.

**How do you attach it?** Use the edge grommets to tie it to a supporting structure. The grommets are spaced every 2 feet, and the listed mounting options include tie and post mount.

**Does the mesh block the view completely?** No. It provides some privacy while leaving the view partly open, so it works as a screen rather than a fully opaque barrier.

## When it makes sense
It makes sense if you want a breathable, 6' x 8' shade cloth for a pergola, patio, garden, or similar outdoor setup. The 90% sun protection, HDPE mesh, and grommeted edges make it a practical fit for creating a shaded area without choosing a solid cover.
