Sepetrel Pool Skimmer Net with Nylon Mesh

Key points

If you mainly need to clear leaves and larger debris from the water, a basic open net may be enough. The Sepetrel Pool Skimmer Net takes a finer-mesh approach: its ultra-fine nylon net is intended to catch smaller surface debris, including water fleas and pool foam, while the reinforced frame is designed to hold up to regular home-pool cleaning. A widened, angled front lip gives you a broad edge for scooping along the surface and is designed to help avoid scratching pool liners. The trade-off is simple: this is the net attachment, not a complete cleaning setup, and the pole is not included.

The net’s appeal is its combination of a reinforced frame and fine mesh, rather than a claim that it replaces every pool-cleaning tool. On the spec sheet, the secure clip is also designed to make installing or removing a telescoping pole easier and to shield your fingers from pinching. That can be useful when you’re switching between skimming and storing the net, though the listing does not provide details about the frame material or the net’s dimensions.

How it fits

This skimmer is described for swimming pools, spas, and ponds, with a focus on collecting debris from the water’s surface. A solid pick if you want a reusable net for a quick pass after leaves, small floating particles, or foam gather near the edge. For example, you could skim across a corner before getting in, then use the angled lip to scoop debris gathered along the wall instead of reaching in by hand.

It attaches to a standard pool pole with a 1-1/4-inch diameter, according to the product details. Ten en cuenta que the pole is not included, so you’ll need a compatible one before you can use it. It might not be a great match if you expect a complete kit, need to remove debris from the pool floor, or prefer a coarse net that lets water drain through quickly while collecting larger leaves. The product is presented as a surface skimmer, not a substitute for equipment designed to clean submerged areas.

Tips for day-to-day use

For routine upkeep, skim slowly and let the fine mesh do the collecting rather than pushing the net hard through the water. Use the widened lip to guide floating debris into the net, especially when working along a pool edge. A measured pass is likely more manageable than trying to scoop a large amount at once, and it gives you a chance to see whether the fine mesh is catching the particles you care about.

Attach the net to your pole using the clip, and make sure the pole matches the stated diameter. The protected clip area is intended to reduce the chance of pinched fingers during attachment, but it does not remove the need to handle the connection carefully. After skimming, clear the mesh so trapped material does not remain there between uses. No cleaning or storage instructions are provided, so avoid assuming the net has special care requirements beyond ordinary rinsing and drying.

Questions before you buy

Does it come with a pole? No. The product details explicitly say the pole is not included.

What is the mesh designed to collect? The ultra-fine nylon mesh is intended to catch small surface debris, including water fleas and pool foam, as well as general floating debris.

Can it be used in a pond or spa? The listing names ponds, spas, and swimming pools as intended settings. It does not provide further guidance for a particular pool or pond setup.

Final verdict

Choose this Sepetrel net if finer surface cleanup matters more to you than getting a pole in the box, and you already have a compatible telescoping pole or plan to get one. Its reinforced frame, angled lip, and fine nylon mesh address everyday skimming needs, especially when small floating debris is the nuisance. If your main job is collecting large piles of leaves quickly, cleaning the pool floor, or buying an all-in-one kit, a different tool or setup will make more sense.
