## Description

For cast-iron owners who want to clean stuck-on food while caring for their cookware, the CM SCRUBBER uses stainless steel chainmail to scrub pans, skillets, Dutch ovens, and grills.

Its 9" x 6" surface pairs with smaller rings to help reach grooves and corners. That detail-oriented design is useful when residue collects along a pan’s sides or around its cooking surface.

If you mainly need to cover a wide, flat area, a broad scouring pad may suit that task. For cast iron and other cookware that benefits from focused scrubbing, this chainmail cleaner offers a reusable mesh approach.

## Getting the most from it

Use the scrubber on cast-iron cookware to work at stuck-on food, including residue around the bottom and sides. Its smaller stainless steel rings are designed for access to narrow grooves and corners, while the larger overall surface gives you room to clean across a pan. It also works on stainless steel and hard-anodized cookware, as well as grills, Dutch ovens, and skillets.

The chainmail is designed to clean cookware without harsh chemicals or detergent. After scrubbing, rinse the mesh clean, it is dishwasher safe for convenient cleanup. This makes it a practical tool to keep near the sink or grill for regular cookware care.

## Why it makes sense

Unlike a flat pad, chainmail links create a flexible mesh surface that can follow the contours of cookware and get into smaller areas. The rings are made from 316-grade stainless steel, and the manufacturer describes them as rust resistant. That construction is intended for repeated use, rather than a disposable scrubber you replace after each cleaning session.

The manufacturer lists the scrubber for cast iron, stainless steel, and hard-anodized cookware. It can therefore serve as a dedicated cast-iron cleaner while also being useful for other pots and pans. Buyers commonly praise its cleaning performance and durability, and some report using it on stubborn or burnt-on residue. Feedback on the size is mixed: some appreciate the cleaning surface, while others find the scrubber small to hold comfortably.

## The essentials

- Type: Chainmail cookware scrubber
- Size: 9" x 6"
- Material: 316-grade stainless steel rings
- Color: Silver
- Care: Dishwasher safe
- Recommended cookware: Cast iron, stainless steel, and hard-anodized cookware

For a typical cleanup, work the mesh over food residue on a skillet or Dutch oven, paying attention to corners and sides, then rinse it. Its design is centered on cookware scrubbing rather than general-purpose cleaning, so the useful distinction is the combination of chainmail construction and access to tighter areas.

## Buying verdict

Choose the CM SCRUBBER if cast iron is a regular part of your cooking and you want a stainless steel mesh cleaner made for its grooves, corners, and food residue. Its 9" x 6" format, smaller rings, and dishwasher-safe care make it a practical fit for routine cleaning of skillets, Dutch ovens, grills, and other listed cookware.
