S SATC 50-Piece Mouse Sander Sandpaper, 9 Grits, 5-Hole Hook-and-Loop

For sanding a furniture corner, smoothing a small wood project, or preparing a surface for a finer finish, this S SATC mouse sander assortment keeps multiple abrasive grades ready in one set. The 50 red pads use aluminum oxide abrasive and a five-hole pattern, with grits ranging from 40 to 800 for different stages of detail work.

Hook-and-loop backing makes it straightforward to attach and change pads on a compatible detail sander. The assortment offers an alternative to buying a single grit when a project calls for both material removal and finer sanding.

What stands out

Nine grit options cover a broad range of sanding tasks: 40, 80, 120, 180, 240, 320, 400, 600, and 800. The coarser grades are suited to heavier stock removal, while the finer end supports polishing and finishing work. Having the grades together makes it easier to move through a project in stages, from shaping or removing roughness to refining the surface.

The aluminum oxide abrasive is intended for use on wood, metal, rubber, leather, plastic, stone, and glass. That variety is useful for detail jobs around the home, furniture refinishing, rust removal, smoothing plastic, and craft projects. The mouse-sander shape also helps reach corners and intricate areas where a larger sanding sheet may be less practical.

Hook-and-loop backing allows pads to attach to the sander and be swapped as the task changes. Five dust-extraction holes are arranged to work with compatible detail sanders, helping the sander draw dust through its matching openings during use. Match the pad’s hole pattern and shape to your sander for a proper fit.

Getting the most from it

Choose a grit that suits the current stage of the work, then change to a finer grade as you move toward a smoother finish. For example, a project involving rough material removal and finishing can use the coarser pads first and progress through the available finer grits. The assortment provides options across that sequence without relying on one abrasive grade for every task.

Before attaching a pad, align its five holes with the openings on the detail sander so the dust-extraction pattern can function as intended. Secure the hook-and-loop backing to the sander’s pad, and change abrasives when you need a different grit or are moving to another stage. The 5.5-by-3.5-inch format is designed for mouse-style detail sanding rather than broad, open surfaces.

When it makes sense

This set is a practical fit for projects that involve varied surfaces or more than one sanding stage, such as refinishing furniture, working on wood details, removing rust from metal, or smoothing plastic and craft pieces. It also suits users who want a range of abrasive grades on hand instead of choosing a pack centered on just one grit.

For small areas, edges, corners, and intricate shapes, the mouse-sander format brings the abrasive to the work with a compact detail-sanding pad. The combination of nine grits, hook-and-loop attachment, and a five-hole layout makes this assortment useful for hands-on finishing jobs with a compatible detail sander.
