Rugshop Floral Patio Rug, 6'6" x 6'6

What to know

For anyone furnishing a patio, porch, balcony, or busy indoor area, the Rugshop Bergamo brings a large floral pattern to a square floor covering made for indoor and outdoor use. Its 6'6" x 6'6" size gives it a defined footprint for a seating or dining area, rather than the narrow coverage of a small entry mat.

The rug is made from 100% polypropylene in a flatweave construction. The fibers are described as fade-resistant and quick-drying, with resistance to sun, rain, and daily foot traffic. That combination suits a space where outdoor exposure and regular use matter as much as appearance.

Keep in mind that machine washing is specified for smaller sizes, so don’t assume this particular size can go in your washer. The care options listed for a quick refresh are shaking it out, vacuuming, or rinsing it with a garden hose, followed by air-drying.

On-body feel

The low-profile weave is designed to sit under most doors and avoid trapping dirt, which can be useful near a porch entry or in a high-traffic kitchen. The maker also describes the surface as soft and welcoming, while the non-shedding construction is intended to keep loose fibers from becoming part of everyday cleanup.

It’s a different approach from choosing a thick, plush rug primarily for cushioned lounging. This one prioritizes a flatter surface and easier upkeep, indoors, a rug pad is suggested for added grip and cushion. A solid pick if you want a decorative layer that can move between a sunroom and an outdoor lounge area. Not the best choice if a deeply cushioned feel is your main priority.

Tips for day-to-day use

For routine dust and debris, shake or vacuum the rug, for a more thorough outdoor refresh, rinse it with a hose and let it air-dry. Its lightweight construction is intended to make it easier to roll out and reposition, while the flatweave profile is suited to doorways and areas where people pass through often. For example, it can define the seating zone on a balcony without adding a tall edge at the threshold.

Indoors, add a rug pad if you want more grip or cushioning. The listing describes the fibers as resistant to sun and rain, but it doesn’t give a specific care schedule or say how the rug should be stored between seasons. If the exact washer instructions matter to your routine, check whether they apply to this size before choosing it.

Before you decide

Can this rug go in a washing machine? The care information says machine washing on gentle is available for smaller sizes. It doesn’t confirm that the 6'6" x 6'6" size qualifies, so use the hose-rinse or vacuum guidance unless its size-specific instructions say otherwise.

Can it be used indoors as well as outdoors? Yes. It’s described for patios, decks, balconies, and poolside spaces, as well as busy rooms such as kitchens, hallways, and living areas.

Does it need a rug pad? A pad is suggested for indoor use to add grip and cushion. The product details don’t specify a pad for outdoor placement.

Buying verdict

Choose this floral square rug if you want one low-profile design for a patio or a busy indoor spot, and value a surface that can be refreshed with vacuuming or a hose. Its practical, flat construction makes more sense than a plush rug in an exposed or high-traffic area, while the large floral print gives it more visual presence than a plain utility mat. Skip it if machine washing is essential for this exact size or if your priority is a thick, cushioned feel.
