## Description

This clear PVC table cover offers practical surface protection for dining tables, desks, and dressers while maintaining the look of the furniture underneath. With a 2 mm thickness and a 14 x 36 inch size, it helps guard against scratches, spills and stains for everyday dining and craft activities.

## Key Points

The protector is designed to stay in place thanks to its heavier 2 mm gauge, reducing movement during normal use. It is transparent so table patterns and finishes remain visible while the surface gets a protective layer. According to the manufacturer, the material is BPA-free, non-toxic and tasteless, which allows for direct contact with food when used responsibly.

This mat resists liquid damage because it is waterproof and easy to wipe clean with a dishcloth or damp sponge. For hot items, the maximum heat resistance is up to 176 °F or 80 °C, and the manufacturer recommends placing a heat pad under very hot pots to extend the product life. 🍽️

The protector is versatile for many settings including kitchens, dining rooms, offices and even RV tables. It can also be trimmed with scissors to match custom table shapes and sizes, though the product may be cut slightly larger at delivery to allow for shrinkage, which is not considered a defect.

## Usage Recommendations

Measure the surface and mark cut lines with a ruler and pencil for a neater finish. Cutting while the mat lies flat will help avoid uneven edges. For very smooth surfaces such as glass or marble, consider using a frosted or textured alternative to reduce trapped air and visible bubbles, since air pockets can form under smooth finishes. ✂️

Wipe spills promptly to prevent staining and avoid placing boiling cookware directly on the mat. The protector works well for craft projects and family meals because it can be wiped down quickly and protects tablecloths and tabletops from daily wear. If long-term exposure to high heat is expected, use an additional insulating layer to prevent warping or premature wear.
