## Description

For errands, commuting, or a casual day out, The Casual Clog brings the ease of a slip-on to a platform mule silhouette. Its lightweight build and cushioned insole with arch support are designed for everyday wear. Compared with a lace-up shoe, it’s quick to slip on and off, compared with an indoor-only slipper, its outsole is made for use indoors and outdoors.

## Spec sheet
- Name: The Casual Clog
- Type: Women's platform clog and slip-on mule
- Upper: Knit blend of merino wool and Rothy's signature thread made from recycled plastic bottles
- Insole: Cushioned, with arch support
- Outsole: Durable, with traction for indoor and outdoor use
- Care: Machine washable in cold water, air dry without heat
- Fit: Runs big, sizing down is recommended

## Best use cases
The easy-on mule shape works well when you want a convenient shoe for short trips, a commute, travel, or everyday casual plans. A lightweight construction keeps the design from feeling bulky, while the cushioned insole adds support for routine wear. The outsole’s traction and stable footing suit both indoor and outdoor settings, making the clog a versatile alternative to changing between a house shoe and an everyday shoe.

The knit upper pairs merino wool with thread made from recycled plastic bottles, giving the clog a material story that stands out from conventional smooth, non-knit uppers. Buyers often highlight the comfortable feel, arch support, and ease of slipping the shoes on and off. Feedback on fit is mixed: some find the sizing familiar, while others say the clogs run large. Rothy's recommends sizing down for a better fit, a useful point to consider when choosing your size.

## Everyday use
For regular wear, the slip-on design makes the clogs straightforward to put on for a quick outing or to keep by the door for everyday plans. When they need cleaning, wash them in cold water and let them air dry—do not use heat. Because the upper contains delicate natural wool, Rothy's suggests using a shoe tree while the shoes dry to help maintain their shape. This care routine makes the washable design practical for a shoe intended to see frequent use.

## Is it worth it?
The Casual Clog brings together a cushioned, supportive insole, a lightweight platform profile, and a washable knit upper in an easy-to-wear mule. It suits you if you want a versatile slip-on for errands, commuting, and casual outings, with materials that include recycled-plastic-bottle thread. The recommended size-down approach and simple cold-water wash care help make the fit and upkeep part of the decision, while the indoor-and-outdoor outsole supports use across everyday settings.
