## Description

## At a glance
The RK Royal Kludge R65 is a compact 60% wired mechanical keyboard built for gamers and typists who want a small footprint without sacrificing features. It pairs a gasket mount design and pre-lubed cream linear switches to deliver a quieter, more refined typing feel according to the manufacturer. If you need a programmable, portable board with solid build touches, this keyboard aims to fit the bill.

## Tech specs
- Name: RK ROYAL KLUDGE R65
- Type: 60% wired mechanical keyboard
- Layout: 66 keys
- Keycaps: PBT double shot, MDA profile
- Switch: pre-lubed cream linear switch
- Features: gasket mount, hot swappable 3pin/5pin support

## Why it’s worth it
The R65 mixes practical design with a few premium details. The gasket mount and layered sound-absorbing materials, including poron cotton between PCB and case, help tame ping and reduce vibration for a smoother and quieter keystroke. A CNC aluminum volume knob gives immediate tactile control over audio plus a push function to mute. RGB fans get over 20 built-in lighting modes and full QMK/VIA support for deeper remapping and macro setups when you want to personalize layouts.

## Usage tips
This keyboard works well on cramped desks or for travel when you want a minimal setup. It’s a solid pick if you prefer linear, creamy switches for gaming or extended typing sessions. Keep in mind that the compact 60% form removes dedicated function and arrow clusters, so you may need to learn some layer shortcuts. You’ll appreciate swapping switches without soldering thanks to hot-swap sockets, and changing keycaps is straightforward because of the durable PBT MDA profile set. 😊🔧

## What’s included
The package is described as including the keyboard with pre-lubed cream switches and PBT keycaps. The board ships ready to connect and customize via QMK or VIA, which covers both basic lighting tweaks and advanced remapping options. 🎛️💡.
