RidRed OCW-001-Blue 3-Inch Chair Casters, Blue Polyurethane, 5-Pack

Technical details

The 3-inch blue casters combine polyurethane, steel, plastic, and rubber in a single-wheel design. Polyurethane wheel surfaces are intended for use across wood, laminate, vinyl, tile, and carpet, making these replacement wheels practical for a chair that moves between different floor types.

The steel construction and precision ball bearings support smooth chair movement, while the swivel design lets the chair change direction as you work. With a stated load capacity of 650 pounds, the set is designed for heavy-duty chair use.

Best use cases

These casters are suited to replacing the wheels on an office or gaming chair when you want a smooth-rolling option for a home office, desk setup, or shared workspace. Their soft polyurethane surfaces are designed to move over common hard floors and carpet, while helping prevent scratches and marks. That makes them useful in rooms where a chair regularly rolls between a desk and nearby storage or work areas.

The single-wheel style offers an alternative to traditional double-row casters, with a design intended to distribute weight more evenly across each wheel. Swivel movement helps when turning or repositioning the chair, and the wheels are designed for quieter rolling to help keep movement from interrupting a focused workspace. Buyers also commonly praise the smooth movement, low noise, and performance on both carpet and hard flooring.

For installation, compare the existing chair caster stem with the listed 7/16 x 7/8-inch stem size. These casters are not compatible with IKEA chairs. If your chair uses the matching stem size, this set provides five replacement wheels in one coordinated blue finish.

Box contents

The set contains five RidRed office chair wheels. Replace the chair’s casters as needed, using the stem size as a practical fit check before installation.

Should you buy it?
