## Description

For outdoor surveillance across wide yards, parking lots, or long driveways, the REOLINK OMVI 3i PoE combines a broad panoramic view with a camera that can follow detected motion.

Its triple-lens system pairs a 10MP panoramic camera with an 8MP pan-and-tilt camera. That gives you a wide scene and a closer view in one setup.

Power and data run over a single Ethernet cable with PoE, keeping the connection wired. Smart detection, night vision, and continuous recording add practical coverage features for day and night.

## Key specifications
- Camera system: Triple lens, with a 10MP dual-lens panoramic camera and an 8MP pan-and-tilt camera
- Viewing angle: 180° panoramic view
- Video: 4K capture, 20 frames per second
- Detection: AI detection for people, vehicles, and animals, customizable intrusion zones and virtual fences
- Night vision: Color and infrared modes, listed range of 30 meters
- Recording: Supports 24/7 recording, storage options include microSD cards up to 512GB, Reolink NVR, FTP, or NAS
- Connection: Ethernet with PoE, Wi-Fi is not supported
- Outdoor protection: IP66 waterproof rating, metal enclosure

The panoramic lens gives a broad view of the scene, while SyncTrack lets the pan-and-tilt camera respond to motion detected by the panoramic camera and track the subject. This full-scene-plus-close-up approach suits spaces where you want both an overview and a moving detail view, rather than relying on a single fixed-angle camera. Digital zoom and autofocus support closer viewing, while customizable zones help focus alerts on areas you choose.

For overnight coverage, switch between color night vision using the white light and infrared mode. Motion-triggered white light can work alongside the camera’s alarm feature. Continuous recording helps maintain a running record, and the available storage options let you choose a setup that fits your existing recording system or network storage.

## Usage tips
Plan for a wired installation: the camera does not connect over Wi-Fi. PoE carries power and data through one Ethernet cable, but the camera requires a PoE+ (IEEE 802.3at) switch or injector and a CAT5-or-higher Ethernet cable. The power adapter is not included. Choose a mounting position with a clear view of the area you want to monitor, then use the app to set intrusion zones and non-motion zones for more targeted alerts.

When connecting to a Reolink NVR, update its firmware to version 3.6.5 or later so the PT camera view is displayed alongside the panoramic view. Buyer feedback often praises the image clarity, setup, and motion tracking. Experiences with connectivity, night vision, and zoom are mixed, so configuring the wired connection and viewing settings to suit the installation is a practical part of setup.

## In the box
The listed contents include one REOLINK OMVI 3i PoE camera. The camera is designed for screw-in installation and ceiling mounting, with the Ethernet cable providing its wired network connection and PoE power when connected to a compatible supply.

## Should you buy it?
Worth considering if you need outdoor monitoring that covers a wide area while also following movement for a closer view. The 180° panoramic camera, auto tracking, person/vehicle/animal detection, and color or infrared night vision bring several useful surveillance functions into one wired camera. It’s especially suited to large yards, parking lots, driveways, warehouses, and similar spaces where a fixed narrow-angle view may leave more of the scene outside the frame.
