## Description

Built from industrial steel with a corrosion-resistant powder coating, the Relhost hose reel is designed for garage and workshop setups. Its 50 ft x 3/8 in hybrid polymer hose gives you reach for common compressed-air tasks. The auto-rewind design helps keep the hose gathered between jobs. A guide arm that adjusts up to 135° lets you position the reel for your workspace.

## What matters most

The hose is rated for up to 300 PSI and uses a flexible hybrid polymer construction with resistance to abrasion, heat, water, and oil. Its stated operating flexibility spans -40°F to 176°F, making it suitable for a range of indoor and outdoor work areas. For pneumatic tools, solid brass inlet and outlet fittings provide the connection points, and the 1/4-inch NPT fitting comes with an additional quick connector set.

The free-locking mechanism holds the hose at a selected length. After use, a gentle tug starts a slow, smooth rewind, while four non-snag rollers help reduce wear as the hose moves in and out. Buyers often highlight the smooth retraction, sturdy feel, and straightforward wall mounting. Feedback on long-term durability is mixed, with some reporting failures after a month, opinions on suitability for regular home use also vary.

## Getting the most from it

Choose a wall, ceiling, or floor mounting position that suits the route between the reel, compressor, and work area. The support arm can be repositioned by loosening its screws, with up to 135° of rotation, and the hose outlet has three angle settings. Adjusting these helps direct the hose toward the area where it will be used rather than pulling from an awkward angle.

The reel’s steel body and powder-coated finish are intended for indoor or outdoor use. Its retractable format is useful when several jobs share the same space: extend the hose to reach a vehicle, bench, or pneumatic tool, then let the locking mechanism hold it in place while you work. A light tug after the task releases the lock for retraction.

## Tips for day-to-day use

For a garage or home studio, mount the reel where the hose can reach the tools you use without crossing the main walking path. Set the guide arm and outlet angle to follow that route, then pull out only the length needed and allow the lock to hold it. When you finish, give the hose a gentle tug and guide it as it rewinds. The four rollers help limit rubbing during this movement, while the reel keeps the hose collected instead of left loose across the floor.

Before connecting, match the reel’s 1/4-inch NPT brass fitting and quick connector set with your compressor and pneumatic-tool setup. This reel is a practical alternative to storing a loose air hose separately: it combines a fixed mounting point, adjustable direction, and automatic rewind for shared work areas.

## Practical questions

**How much pressure can the hose handle?** The hybrid polymer hose is rated for a maximum air pressure of 300 PSI.

**Can the reel be mounted in different positions?** Yes. It can be mounted on a wall, ceiling, or floor, and its support arm and hose outlet can be adjusted to direct the hose.

**How does the hose stay in place or rewind?** The free-locking mechanism holds it at the length you choose. A gentle tug after use releases the lock and starts a slow, smooth rewind.

## Should you buy it?

This Relhost reel suits a garage, workshop, or home studio where a mounted air hose can make tool access more organized. Its 50 ft hose, adjustable guide, lock-at-length operation, and automatic rewind bring the useful parts of hose storage and access together in one unit. Choose it for a setup where those features and the 300 PSI rating match the way you use compressed-air tools.
