## Description

## How to use it

If you need one mouse for wireless gaming and everyday computer work, the Redragon M814 gives you three ways to connect: 2.4G wireless, Bluetooth, and wired USB-C. Want to switch from a desk setup to a laptop without relying on just one connection type? Choose the mode that suits the task, then use the dedicated Rapid Fire key when a single press that registers three clicks is useful in a game.

The seven primary buttons can be customized with downloadable software for Windows PCs, including macro assignments. The software works in 2.4G and wired modes, and software customization is not supported on Mac. For a simpler setup, the Rapid Fire key comes preset, for more tailored controls, use the software in a supported mode. The USB-C wired mode also lets you keep using the mouse while it is connected for charging.

## What you’ll notice day to day

The M814 is designed to handle more than one routine. Bluetooth suits general work, while 2.4G provides a wireless option for gaming, wired USB-C offers another way to connect and supports use while charging. That flexibility can be useful when one mouse moves between a gaming PC and other devices. Compared with a mouse built around a single connection method, this tri-mode design gives you more choice in how you set up each session.

Sensitivity adjusts across an 800–8000 DPI range, so you can choose a cursor response that feels appropriate for different tasks. The 1000Hz polling rate and optical movement detection are specified for responsive tracking. RGB lighting adds a customizable visual element, while the contoured shape and textured grips are intended to provide a secure, comfortable hold during extended gaming or work. Buyers often praise the fit for larger hands, battery life between charges, RGB, and smooth movement on mousepads. Feedback on connectivity, button reach, customization, and glide is more varied, so individual preferences may differ.

## Buying verdict

Choose the Redragon M814 if your priority is a gaming mouse that can also move into everyday work, with 2.4G, Bluetooth, and USB-C connection options in one device. Its adjustable sensitivity, programmable primary buttons, and preset Rapid Fire key make it suited to players who want flexible controls, while the ergonomic right-handed shape and textured grips support longer desk sessions. The 250-hour battery-life figure applies to 2.4G mode with RGB off, and the mouse can be used while charging over USB-C. For Windows users who want to personalize controls, the software adds macro and button-remapping options in supported connection modes.
