## Description

A mouse for a setup that calls for a lightweight feel is a different choice from one picked mainly for a fuller, more substantial grip. The Redragon M617-LIT is built around the lighter approach, with a honeycomb shell and a stated weight of 41g.

It is a wired optical gaming mouse with adjustable sensitivity up to 10,000 DPI. Five programmable buttons give you room to assign controls for games or work without moving to a more button-heavy design.

For a practical use case, the DPI presets can be switched to suit different tasks, while the flexible paracord-style cable is intended to feel less intrusive during movement. The connection is wired, so this is aimed at a desk setup rather than someone looking specifically for a wireless mouse.

## On-body feel

The 41g weight and honeycomb shell are the main reasons to consider this model if you prefer a mouse that feels very light in hand. Redragon describes the shape as symmetrical and suitable for extended gaming or office sessions, while the listed hand orientation is right-handed. That combination may be worth noting if handedness and grip shape are important to you.

A light mouse can feel noticeably different from a heavier, more solid-feeling design. Buyer feedback reflects that split: some describe a smooth feel, while others say the mouse feels almost absent in the hand. Ergonomics are therefore a personal-fit question, rather than a benefit that will land the same way for everyone.

## Why it’s worth it

The appeal here is the mix of low stated weight, a wired connection, and configurable controls. The mouse offers five DPI settings, with listed defaults of 800, 1,200, 1,600, 3,200, and 10,000 DPI. That gives you several sensitivity levels to choose from without relying on one fixed setting. The dedicated Redragon software is described as supporting button, hotkey, media, and DPI customization, including macros.

The cable is described as lightweight and flexible, a useful detail for players who want a wired mouse but would rather avoid a stiff-feeling lead. Compared with a basic mouse chosen for simple pointing, the M617-LIT adds programmable controls and multiple sensitivity presets. Buyers’ comments on responsiveness are mixed, though, and durability feedback is not uniform, those impressions are worth weighing without treating them as guaranteed performance outcomes.

A solid pick if you want a very light wired gaming mouse with programmable buttons and several DPI options. You may want to skip it if wireless use is a priority, since this model is wired.

## Is it worth it?

The M617-LIT makes the most sense when low weight is a deciding factor and you want wired use, adjustable sensitivity, and button customization in one mouse. Its strongest distinction is the 41g honeycomb format, not a promise of a particular grip or feel. If you prefer a mouse with a more substantial presence in your hand, buyer feedback suggests this light design may not suit your preference. For a lightweight desk setup where a cable is acceptable, its combination of five programmable buttons and preset DPI levels gives you practical control options without moving to a more elaborate mouse.
