## Description

A keyboard for one fixed setup can prioritize straightforward wired use, a busier desk may call for more connection choices and quick controls. Would it help to switch between devices without giving up a dedicated volume knob? The Redragon K708 combines Bluetooth, 2.4GHz wireless, and USB-C in an 81-key mechanical keyboard with a customizable screen.

## Tech summary
- Layout: 81-key QWERTZ
- Display: Customizable 1.14-inch LCD screen for time, battery, and system information
- Connectivity: Bluetooth, 2.4GHz wireless, and USB-C wired, connect up to five devices across these modes
- Switches: Pre-lubed Leopard L linear switches, hot-swappable with most 3-pin and 5-pin switches
- Lighting: Customizable per-key RGB with built-in effects and software controls
- Battery: 4000mAh

The screen and knob put useful information and volume control within reach. Pressing the knob also lets you view the battery indicator. The linear switches provide a smooth key feel, and hot-swap sockets make it possible to customize the switch setup without replacing the entire keyboard. Customer feedback often highlights the tactile feel, construction, and lighting effects, opinions vary on sound level, color customization, lighting reliability, and durability.

## How to use it
Choose Bluetooth, 2.4GHz wireless, or USB-C to suit the device and setup. Bluetooth supports up to three devices, the manufacturer describes connecting up to five devices across Bluetooth, 2.4GHz, and USB-C. That flexibility is useful when moving between a computer, laptop, tablet, or phone, rather than keeping the keyboard tied to one connection method.

Use the knob for volume and menu navigation, and the screen for at-a-glance information. For screen customization such as syncing the clock or uploading GIFs, as well as macros and RGB settings, the official software runs on Windows. Connect the keyboard by USB-C to configure it. Basic keyboard functions are also described for Mac, PS5, Windows, and Linux, with wired USB-C or 2.4GHz wireless connections.

## Included in the package
The listed package contents are a keycap puller and USB cable. The puller is useful when changing keycaps or working with the hot-swappable switches, while the cable provides the USB-C wired connection.

## What to clarify
**Can I use the K708 with a Mac?** Basic functions are described as compatible with Mac. The customization software is Windows-only, so use Windows for the listed screen, macro, and RGB software settings.

**How do I customize the screen?** Connect the keyboard to a Windows PC through USB-C and use the official software to sync the clock or upload GIFs. The screen also displays battery and system information.

**Can I replace the switches?** Yes. The keyboard is hot-swappable and supports most 3-pin and 5-pin switches, allowing you to change the switch feel without changing the whole keyboard.

## Buying verdict
The K708 suits a gaming or everyday desk where flexible connections, dedicated volume control, and a customizable display are useful. Its 81-key QWERTZ layout keeps the setup compact in key count, while pre-lubed linear switches and hot-swap support give customization a practical role beyond appearance. Choose it for a multi-device setup that benefits from tri-mode connectivity and onboard controls, with Windows available when you want to configure the screen and software features.
