Raimy BF-420 37-Key Kids' Electronic Keyboard, Pink, with Learning and Recording Modes

At 17 × 6.3 × 2.1 inches, the Raimy BF-420 is a compact pink keyboard made from ABS plastic for indoor musical play. Its 37 keys give young beginners a way to explore melodies, while multiple tones, rhythms, and percussion sounds invite them to experiment beyond a single sound or tune.

For children who want a hands-on introduction to playing, the one-key-one-note and learn functions offer a simple place to start. Kids who are ready to explore can use the recording and playback feature to revisit their own musical ideas.

The essentials

The BF-420 combines 11 demonstration songs with 8 rhythms, 8 tones, 4 percussion sounds, and 4 samba sounds. That variety gives children different ways to make music, whether they want to follow a demo, try a new instrument sound, or build a rhythm. Tempo and volume controls let them adjust playback, while sustain and vibrato add further sound options.

The keyboard also includes record and playback, so a child can capture a short musical idea and listen to it again. A one-key-one-note mode and a learn function support early exploration of individual notes. These features make it a more varied starting point than a simple toy that offers only one sound, while keeping the focus on accessible, hands-on play. The data cable is included.

Practical tips

The keyboard operates on 3 AA batteries, which are not included. Set it up indoors and choose either battery power or the included data cable according to the intended setup. Its pink color and child-focused design suit a shared play space, bedroom, or music corner where it can be picked up for short practice sessions or free play.

The controls give adults and children a few clear ways to shape a session: start with a demonstration song, switch to a rhythm, or adjust tempo and volume as they explore. For a first musical toy, that range offers more variety than a basic single-mode instrument, for a child who wants to focus on formal piano practice, the main appeal here is playful discovery rather than a full-size instrument.

Tips for day-to-day use

A simple routine can help children get familiar with the different functions without turning play into a lesson. Start with the learn or one-key-one-note mode, then let them try the demo songs and change tones or rhythms. The recording and playback feature can make it easy to return to a tune they have just created. Keep the keyboard within reach in its indoor play area so it is ready for spontaneous music-making.

Buyer feedback describes the keyboard as enjoyable and appreciates its range of sounds and recording features. Opinions are mixed on size, reliability, and sound: some find the dimensions suitable, while others report it feels smaller than expected, reports also vary on key function and tuning. These experiences are individual, but they can help set expectations when choosing a first keyboard for play.

Buying verdict

The Raimy BF-420 is suited to young children who want to explore music through a compact 37-key keyboard rather than a single-function sound toy. Its demo songs, varied tones and rhythms, learning modes, and record-and-playback feature give beginners several ways to engage with music at home, making it a practical fit for playful musical discovery.
