## Description

## What it is
The QLEARSOUL SoulBox S1 is an all-in-one vinyl listening solution that combines built-in stereo speakers, a switchable phono preamp, and room-friendly aesthetics in a single unit. Designed as an entry-level audiophile system, it lets you enjoy your vinyl collection with the option to stream from smart devices, all without needing a separate hi-fi setup.

## How it sounds
On paper, the SoulBox S1 aims to deliver true analog warmth with a three-way audio approach: a 25mm silk dome tweeter for clear highs, a 130mm fiberglass woofer for mids, and a tight bass from the overall cabinet design. The system is balanced through an advanced crossover to keep notes precise and lively. If you value a natural vinyl texture without harsh sibilance, this setup is intended to deliver that vibe while staying approachable in size and price.

## What stands out
Key elements that shape the experience include the 10-inch S-shaped tonearm with adjustable counterweight and a new anti-skating knob, paired with the AT-3600L cartridge. This combination is aimed at better tracking and fewer skips, which can help minimize distortion on imperfect pressings. Speed control is designed to be reliable thanks to a next-generation DC motor driving a belt link to a 1.2kg die-cast iron platter, supporting both 33 RPM and 45 RPM records.

## Who it’s for
This is positioned for beginners exploring vinyl without sacrificing the option to upgrade without buying a whole new system. It also suits those who want a compact, attractive all-in-one unit that can blend into a living room while still offering real analog flavor.

## What you’ll notice day to day
If you’re upgrading from a basic USB/CD setup or a cheap turntable, you’ll likely appreciate the built-in preamp and the ability to stream when desired. The user-friendly tonearm and cartridge setup mean less fiddling for first-time users, but the overall sound signature trades a touch of blasting dynamic headroom for a smooth, enjoyable listening experience at mid-volume levels.

## Pros and cons
- Pros: integrated speakers, built-in preamp, flexible 33/45 RPM, solid platter and motor design for stable playback, preserves vinyl charm with a modern streaming option.
- Cons: as an all-in-one, it won’t match the absolute depth and resolution of a separate high-end turntable and speaker stack, the included cartridge is good for the price but isn’t a marquee audiophile upgrade by itself. Expect the bass to be present yet not overpowering in smaller rooms.

## When it makes sense to buy
If you’re new to vinyl and want an easy, all-in-one setup that can also stream, and you like a walnut aesthetic, this unit offers a practical path to decent analog sound without complex wiring.

## When it might not be the best choice
If your priority is top-tier audiophile fidelity or you crave the deepest bass and deepest soundstage, a separate turntable, phono stage, and high-end loudspeakers might deliver more, though at a higher price and setup effort.

## What to review before buying
- Verify the power and placement needs to minimize vibration. A sturdy surface helps tracking stability.
- Consider the suitability of the built-in preamp for your amplifier or speaker inputs, if you plan to bypass it in the future, ensure you can do so.
- Check cartridge compatibility and whether you’d want to upgrade to another stylus for different trace quality.

## Practical usage example
Imagine spinning a favorite record in the living room on a weekend afternoon, then seamlessly streaming a playlist to bridge the gap between vinyl and digital silence. The S1 offers a simple glide from analog warmth to modern convenience without swapping devices mid-setup.

## FAQ (quick points)
- Can I use external speakers with this unit? Yes, through the built-in preamp, you can connect to external amplifiers or speakers if desired.
- Is 33/45 RPM supported? Yes, both speeds are supported.
- Does it come with a cartridge? It includes the AT-3600L cartridge as described.

## Final decision
### Is it worth it?
Worth considering if you want a ready-to-use, compact vinyl setup that also streams and looks stylish in living spaces. It’s a balanced blend for new vinyl lovers who don’t want to invest in multiple components right away, but temper expectations about ultimate audiophile depth.

## What to know if you’re deciding
- It’s a practical entry point that prioritizes versatility and ease over absolute high-end performance.
- It suits small-to-medium rooms where integrated sound and aesthetics matter as much as the vinyl experience.
- If you anticipate needing more aggressive bass or higher resolution, you may outgrow it and later upgrade to a separate turntable and speakers.
