## Description

Packing for a work trip but still needing a number pad? The ProtoArc XK01 folds into a compact travel format while keeping a full-size 105-key layout, including function and navigation keys. Its Bluetooth connection can pair with up to three devices, so switching between a laptop, tablet, and phone does not require reconnecting each time.

The scissor-switch keys are designed for quieter typing in shared spaces, and the keyboard recharges through USB-C. It is portable, but it is not a pocket-sized alternative to a reduced-layout keyboard: the full-size keys and number pad are part of what you carry.

## Tips for day-to-day use
The XK01 makes sense when you want a familiar desktop-style layout away from a desk—for example, entering figures on a tablet during a trip or handling messages on a phone between laptop tasks. Its three-device switching is useful for a multi-device setup, while the dedicated number pad avoids the tradeoff of smaller keyboards that omit it. The folding design helps with packing, though this is still a full-size keyboard rather than a minimal travel board.

The manufacturer describes the scissor keys as quiet, which may suit coffee shops or shared offices. Keep in mind that the XK01 does not have backlit keys, so it lacks illuminated key legends for dim work areas. It also connects by Bluetooth only, USB-C is for charging, not a wired typing connection. Buyers often praise its portability, folding format, and ease of Bluetooth pairing. Feedback on durability is less consistent, with some reporting a broken hinge cover or keys that stopped working, so those concerns are worth weighing if the keyboard will be folded and carried frequently.

It suits you if you want a folding keyboard that keeps a number pad and can move between several Bluetooth devices. It might not be a great match if you need backlighting, a wired connection, or a water-resistant keyboard, the manufacturer says this model is not water-resistant.

## Box contents
The listed contents are the XK01 folding keyboard, a USB cable, and a user manual. The cable is intended for charging, not wired keyboard use. A stated standby time of up to 150 days is a manufacturer claim, not a guarantee of the interval between charges, actual use can vary.

## Is it worth it?
The XK01 is most compelling when a compact fold matters but sacrificing a full-size layout does not. Compared with a smaller keyboard that drops the number pad, it offers more familiar keys and dedicated numeric entry while still folding for transport. The tradeoff is that it remains larger than a stripped-down travel keyboard and lacks backlighting and wired operation. If those omissions fit your setup, its combination of foldability, three-device Bluetooth switching, and full-size keys addresses a specific travel need. If durability is your main deciding factor, buyer reports are mixed enough to merit caution.
