## Description

Add outlets and gentle nighttime lighting to a bedroom, hallway, or other indoor space with the POWRUI 508-2U1C wall outlet extender. Its three-sided layout provides six AC outlets, with added spacing to make room for larger plug-in adapters.

Three USB ports—two USB-A and one USB-C—let you charge compatible devices at the same wall location. The built-in LED night light adds a low-glare lighting option without taking up a separate outlet.

A dusk-to-dawn sensor turns the light on when the room gets dark. Use the touch control to choose from three brightness levels or switch the light on and off manually.

## Quick overview

This compact extender combines everyday outlet access, USB charging, surge protection, and a night light in one wall-mounted unit. The six AC outlets are arranged across three sides, and their 2.1-inch spacing accommodates a range of adapters more easily than closely grouped sockets. A 1680-joule surge protection rating adds protection for connected electronics.

The USB section includes two USB-A ports and one USB-C port, with a combined USB output of 5V/3.4A. The USB-C port provides 5V/3A and is not intended for devices that require 9–22V charging. For AC use, the extender is rated for 125V, 15A, and a maximum power rating of 1875W. It uses a Type B, three-prong North American plug and is intended for indoor use.

Buyers highlight the combination of outlets and USB ports, the adjustable night light, and the three-sided arrangement. Some also appreciate that the unit sits close to the wall. These comments describe customer impressions, while the product’s documented features provide the practical basis for choosing it.

## Everyday use

In a bedroom, the light can provide soft illumination along a nighttime route, with the sensor responding to ambient light and the touch control allowing manual adjustment. In a home office or living room, the spread-out AC sockets can help organize power for several plugs, while the USB ports provide a nearby charging point for compatible devices. This all-in-one format is an alternative to using a separate outlet splitter, USB charger, and night light.

The unit can be secured with a center screw when used with a duplex outlet. That mounting method is not suitable for securing it to a GFCI outlet. Keep the total connected load within the 1875W power rating. The product is ETL listed.

## Who it’s for

This extender suits people who want more plug-in positions at one wall outlet and a night light in the same spot. It is useful in rooms where a phone or other USB device is charged near the bed, and in shared indoor areas where a mix of AC adapters and USB charging is convenient. The spaced, three-sided layout is especially relevant when plugs need room around them, rather than being crowded into a single row.

## Is it worth it?

The POWRUI 508-2U1C brings several everyday functions together: six AC outlets, three USB charging ports, 1680-joule surge protection, and a dusk-to-dawn night light with adjustable brightness. For a bedroom, hallway, or home workspace with a compatible duplex outlet, that combination makes it a practical way to expand access to power while adding useful ambient lighting.
