## Description

Some interior doors call for everyday passage, while bedrooms and bathrooms benefit from a simple privacy lock. This eight-knob set brings the same matte black, rounded look across multiple rooms. Its push-button locking function is operated from inside the room.

## Who it’s for

Plustool’s eight-pack is suited to updating several indoor doors with matching hardware, especially bedroom and bathroom doors where privacy is useful. The round ball shape and modern matte black finish create a consistent look across a home or commercial interior. Stainless steel construction gives the knobs a practical material choice for frequently used interior doors.

The set is designed for both left- and right-handed doors, so the same style can work across rooms with different swing directions. For a room that needs a privacy function rather than a keyed entry, the interior push button provides a straightforward way to lock the door from inside.

## What stands out

A keyless privacy lock is useful for rooms where the goal is to indicate that the space is occupied, without managing a key for everyday use. The button is turned from inside to lock, the outside emergency release can be operated with a coin or screwdriver. That gives the lock a practical privacy function for bedrooms and bathrooms while allowing access in an emergency.

The adjustable latch supports two common backsets, and the stated door thickness range helps identify whether the hardware is suited to the door before installation. With a screwdriver and the included instructions, installation is intended as a do-it-yourself task. The fixed latch plate is part of the design, so the latch assembly should be oriented to suit the door during fitting.

Buyers often praise the matte black appearance and ease of installation. Feedback on the feel of the build, fit, and locking mechanism is mixed, so careful fitting matters when replacing existing hardware. The product specifications also cite ANSI Grade 3, more than 250,000 cycles, a five-pin brass tumbler cylinder, and a solid-column security bolt.

## Before you decide

**How does the privacy lock work?** Turn the button on the inside knob to lock the door. The outside emergency release is designed to be operated with a coin or screwdriver.

**Which door sizes does the adjustable latch fit?** It adjusts to a 2-3/8-inch or 2-3/4-inch backset and is specified for doors 1-3/8 to 1-3/4 inches thick.

**Can the knobs be installed on either left- or right-handed doors?** Yes. The set is reversible for either hand orientation. Use the included instructions and a screwdriver to install each knob.

## When it makes sense

This set makes sense when several interior doors need coordinated matte black hardware and a simple, keyless privacy function. Its eight-piece quantity, reversible design, and adjustable latch address practical needs across bedrooms and bathrooms, while the round stainless steel knobs keep the look consistent from one room to the next.
