PLUSINNO Floating Fishing Landing Net with Telescopic Handle

A fish at the side of a kayak can be hard to scoop when your net is awkward to store or easy to lose overboard. The PLUSINNO floating landing net folds for transport, extends with a telescopic handle, and has float tubes on two sides of its triangular frame to help keep it on the surface if it goes into the water, according to the maker. Its compact design is geared toward boats, kayaks, and shore spots where a full-size net would be cumbersome.

The tradeoff is reach: this is a compact net, not a long-handled option for landing fish from a high bank or at a distance.

Best use cases

This net makes the most sense for anglers who want a landing tool close at hand in a kayak, canoe, or boat. Fold it down for the drive, then open the frame when you reach the water. In a kayak, the buoyant head may offer some reassurance if the net slips from your grip while you’re managing a fish or paddle. The maker also lists streams, rivers, ponds, and ocean use, in both fresh and salt water.

It’s a great fit if compact storage and a floating frame matter more than extended reach. Picture bringing a trout alongside a kayak, extending the handle, and guiding it into the net without needing to stow a bulky rigid frame between spots. It may not suit you if your usual fishing position calls for a long reach, or if you need a larger hoop for bigger catches, the listed opening is 15.5 inches.

Product specs

The triangular hoop measures 15.5 inches, with a listed net depth of 14.5 inches. The telescopic handle adjusts from 28.34 to 34.45 inches, and the net weighs 14.11 ounces (400 g). It folds for transport and storage. Those dimensions help set expectations: the handle offers some adjustment, but it remains a relatively short landing net rather than a tool for reaching far from shore.

The mesh is described as rubber-coated nylon with a hexagonal structure, intended to reduce hook snags and be gentler on fish during catch and release. The handle combines carbon fiber and fiberglass, with a skid-resistant EVA grip. These materials point to a net designed to be carried and handled around water, though the listing does not provide a load rating or other durability test results.

Where it shines

The useful distinction here is between a compact, stowable net and a larger fixed-frame model. If space in a kayak or vehicle is tight, the folding design is easier to tuck away. The floating elements also address a specific boating concern: a dropped net can be difficult to retrieve, and the maker says the added tubes provide buoyancy. They are on two of the three sides, so this is a floating frame design, not a claim that every part of the net stays above water.

The coated mesh is another practical consideration for anglers using treble-hooked lures. Its snag-reducing design may make removing hooks from the net less of a hassle, while the fish-friendly intent suits catch-and-release use. How well it fits your routine depends on the fish size and the distance you need to reach, a larger hoop or longer handle is the more suitable approach when those demands take priority. What matters more on your next trip: a net that stores easily, or one that reaches farther?

Final verdict

Choose the PLUSINNO if you want a foldable landing net for close-range use from a kayak, boat, or similar fishing spot, and its listed hoop and handle dimensions match the fish and reach you expect. The floating elements, compact form, and coated mesh address real day-to-day concerns without adding much bulk. Skip it in favor of a larger or longer-handled net if you regularly land bigger fish, fish from a high bank, or need more reach than a 34.45-inch handle provides.
