## Description

A dog shelter that stays off the ground and is easier to rinse clean solves a different problem than a basic indoor bed. This plastic kennel is designed for indoor or outdoor use, with a raised floor and weather-minded details.

The M-size version measures 26.8 inches long, 21.3 inches wide, and 26.8 inches high, and is listed for dogs up to 30 pounds. The product name also specifies a soft mat, though no details about its material or thickness are provided.

Its appeal is practical rather than customizable: a covered space with removable windows and a roof that lifts off for cleaning. How much those features matter depends on where your dog’s shelter will sit and how often you need to wash it.

## How it fits

The stated size and weight guidance give you a useful starting point, but they don’t confirm how comfortably a particular dog will fit. Compare the measurements with your dog’s body and resting position, especially if they like to stretch out. The listing describes the space as suitable for small and medium dogs, but dogs over 30 pounds fall outside its stated limit.

For a porch or indoor corner, the elevated legs keep the kennel base off the floor, while the PVC door curtain, broad eaves, and roof drainage system are intended to help keep rain out and the structure dry. The acrylic windows can be removed for more ventilation. These design details may suit a sheltered outdoor spot, but the listing gives no weather rating or temperature range. Without having tried it, I’d treat the insulation claims as design intent rather than a guarantee of comfort in every season.

## Pros

- Double-layer HDPE walls with an air cavity are designed to help moderate the interior temperature.
- The roof comes off for access, so you can rinse the interior with a hose or wipe it with a cloth.
- The raised floor, door curtain, eaves, and drainage channel address common outdoor-use concerns.
- Instructions and hardware are included, and the listing says the pre-drilled parts assemble in under five minutes.

Compared with a wooden kennel, this plastic design is aimed at easier washing and less concern about the material becoming damaged or rotting. The trade-off is that the available information does not give details such as the window or entrance dimensions, so fit and airflow are harder to judge from the listing alone.

## Spec sheet

- Name: Plastic dog house with soft mat
- Type: Indoor/outdoor dog kennel
- Size: M
- Material: HDPE, removable acrylic windows, PVC door curtain
- Dimensions: 26.8 inches L x 21.3 inches W x 26.8 inches H
- Suitable for dogs up to 30 pounds

## When it makes sense

Worth considering if you want a defined resting spot that can be cleaned by removing the roof, and your dog is within the stated size guidance. For example, after a muddy walk, you can lift the roof to wipe down the inside rather than trying to reach into a fixed, enclosed kennel. The included mat adds a soft resting surface, though its specifications aren’t listed.

It may not suit you if your dog needs more room than these dimensions allow, or if you need verified performance for severe weather or a specific temperature range. This is a practical, washable shelter with insulation features, not a product with detailed climate or fit testing information in the provided specs.
