## Description

For starting seeds or refreshing a container garden, blend Plantonix Vermiculite Bliss into potting soil to help manage moisture and support soil aeration. Its medium-coarse grade works in indoor and outdoor planting mixes. The 24-quart volume gives gardeners material for multiple soil-preparation tasks. How can one amendment support both moisture retention and root-zone airflow? Vermiculite helps with both.

## Practical tips

Mix the vermiculite into potting soil or garden soil when preparing containers, seed-starting mixes, or beds. It can also be combined with perlite, coco coir, bark, mulch, or vermicompost to create a blend suited to the planting task. No fixed ratio is needed to make use of it: add it as part of the soil mix you are preparing, rather than treating the product as a complete potting medium.

For seed starting, incorporate it into the starter mix to help retain moisture around developing plants. In pots and garden containers, it helps soil hold water while supporting aeration and drainage. This is a useful approach when you want to amend the mix itself, gardeners who prefer a ready-to-use potting soil can instead choose a prepared medium and skip blending amendments.

## Where it shines

Vermiculite Bliss is suited to houseplants, container gardens, herb gardens, greenhouses, flowers, vegetables, and some fruits. Its moisture-retaining properties can help provide more consistent conditions for plants that benefit from steady moisture, while improved drainage helps limit waterlogging and nutrient runoff. The material also retains nutrients in the soil and releases them gradually to plant roots.

A practical use is preparing seed-starting mix before sowing: blend vermiculite with potting soil or another suitable medium, then fill trays or pots. For an outdoor container, mix it into the soil during setup to support moisture retention and airflow as plants grow. The clean, odorless, sterile material can be used across a range of indoor and outdoor gardening projects.
