PETSWEET Retractable Dog Leash with LED Light, Reflective Tape and 16ft Lead
Product description
For owners walking medium dogs up to 66 lbs, this PETSWEET retractable leash combines a 16ft lead with features aimed at evening outings. The handle includes an LED light, reflective tape, a poop bag dispenser, and a one-button brake and lock, a 30-inch stainless steel cable extension is also included for dogs that chew their leash.
It’s a more integrated setup than a basic retractable leash paired with a separate flashlight and bag holder. Would those built-in extras suit your usual route? The answer depends in part on how much you value having them attached to the handle.

The LED and reflective tape add visibility features for night walks, while the brake and lock let the handler control the extending lead. The cable extension is designed to connect between the collar and nylon lead for dogs that chew. It is an added piece to attach, rather than a replacement for the retractable leash itself.
What it works with
The listed rating is for medium dogs up to 66 lbs. The 16ft lead is intended to give a dog room to move on walks, with the brake and lock available when closer control is needed. The product description specifically positions the steel extension for chewers, but does not give a separate weight rating for that component.
For a night walk, the handle-mounted light can illuminate the route ahead, while reflective tape adds another visibility feature. The built-in dispenser comes loaded with 15 bags, so it can keep bags with the leash instead of requiring a separate holder. Buyers praise the integrated light and dispenser, and some find the leash straightforward to operate one-handed. Feedback on brightness is mixed, however, and opinions on how well the lead retracts are also divided. Those points matter if you want a particularly bright light or smooth retraction as a top priority.
Tips for day-to-day use
Charge the LED through USB-C before relying on it for an evening outing, the stated full charge time is 2 hours. The included bags provide a starting supply, but the description does not specify what replacement bag sizes fit the dispenser. Attach the steel cable extension between the collar and nylon lead if you intend to use it for chewing, and keep the one-button brake and lock accessible while walking.
The integrated layout may suit someone who would otherwise carry a leash, light, and bag holder separately. In a practical city-park walk, the lead can extend when there is room and be locked when the dog needs to stay closer. Buyers' mixed comments about retraction suggest that this function deserves consideration alongside the accessory features rather than being assumed to work the same for everyone.
Should you buy it?
A solid pick if your dog is within the stated weight rating and you want a retractable lead with a light, reflective tape, bag storage, and a chew-resistant cable extension in one setup. It’s not for you if your dog exceeds 66 lbs, or if your decision depends on consistently strong light output or retraction: buyer feedback on both is mixed. For a simpler walk where those extras are unnecessary, a basic leash is a more straightforward approach.
