## Description

When you slide a hot oven rack out to check a dish, its exposed edges are easy to overlook. PDETVEO silicone rack guards cover those edges with reusable protective sleeves, helping create a more comfortable setup for everyday baking and cooking.

The set includes eight black guards, each 14 inches long. Slide them onto rack edges for a fitted cover, or trim them with scissors to suit your setup.

## Everyday use

Use these covers on oven rack edges while preparing meals, baking, or moving cookware in and out of the oven. Their 14-inch length is designed to cover standard rack edges, and the silicone construction provides a slip-resistant surface that grips in place. For racks with a different edge length, trim a guard to size with scissors before fitting it.

Installation is straightforward: slide a guard over the rack edge and press it into place. No tools or rack modifications are needed. With eight pieces in the set, you can cover multiple edges or keep additional guards available for other shelves. The covers are reusable and can be hand-washed after use.

## Benefits

The main benefit is edge coverage without changing the rack itself. Instead of leaving the metal edge exposed, the silicone sleeves add a protective layer where hands may come close while handling food or cookware. Their slip-resistant design helps the guards stay positioned during use, while the flexible material can be cut to match a particular rack edge.

The guards withstand temperatures up to 392°F. Keep this limit in mind when choosing where to use them, and use them within the stated temperature range. Their black color gives the set a simple, low-contrast look alongside kitchen racks and cookware.

## What matters most

Each guard measures 14 inches long by 0.6 inches wide, and the set contains eight. These dimensions make the covers useful for standard rack edges, while the option to trim them offers flexibility for shelves that need a shorter fit. A snug fit is important: slide each piece over the edge and make sure it grips the rack before cooking.

Compared with leaving a rack edge uncovered, these silicone sleeves provide a dedicated layer of coverage. Compared with a fixed-size cover, a trim-to-fit design can be more practical when adapting the guards to different shelf lengths. The product description also identifies toaster oven and microwave shelves as possible uses when the guards are cut to fit, follow the 392°F temperature limit when selecting an application.

## When it makes sense

It suits you if you want to cover exposed oven rack edges with reusable guards that can be fitted at home without tools. For example, when setting up a rack for a baking session, slide the covers onto the edges you want covered, trim them if needed, and check that they sit firmly before using the oven. Their eight-piece format is also useful when you want to prepare several rack edges rather than cover just one.

Choose this set for a practical, adjustable approach to rack-edge coverage: eight black silicone guards, easy slide-on installation, and a cut-to-fit design for kitchen shelves.
