## Description

A basic outdoor shelter can provide a covered place to rest, while a winter setup may call for insulation and added warmth. The Pawtners PTPT067DH1 brings those needs together in an insulated cat house with a heated pad. Its escape door and elevated, adjustable feet add practical details for outdoor placement.

## What matters most

The shelter measures 17" deep by 32" wide by 18" high, giving cats room to settle inside. An all-metal frame supports the structure, and the insulated design is intended to help keep the interior warm. The cover is made from waterproof PVC, with widened edges and extended eaves designed to direct water away. A clear door curtain helps block wind and cold while letting cats see outside.

For outdoor cats, including feral, community, or barn cats, the heated pad adds a warm resting spot in colder weather. The separate escape door gives an animal another way out if a predator approaches. Windproof ground spikes help secure the house, and adjustable feet can help it sit more steadily on uneven ground while lifting the base away from ground moisture.

Customers frequently praise the generous interior, the heating pad, and how straightforward they find assembly. Feedback about water resistance is mixed, so the shelter’s waterproof PVC cover is a relevant feature to consider alongside its insulated structure and raised base when choosing a location.

## Care & maintenance

The heating pad is removable, and its cover is machine washable, making it easier to clean the part cats rest on. The pad can also be used indoors for cats or dogs, offering another placement option when outdoor shelter is not needed. Keeping the pad removable means it can be taken out separately for cleaning or indoor use without moving the entire shelter.

## Usage tips

Choose a spot that gives cats a clear approach to the entrance and exit. Set the adjustable feet to suit the ground beneath the shelter, then use the ground spikes to help hold the frame in place. The elevated base is useful for separating the resting area from damp ground, while the extended eaves and PVC cover are designed for outdoor exposure to rain and snow.

This setup is especially relevant when a sheltered outdoor resting place needs more than a roof alone: the insulated interior, heated pad, and wind-blocking curtain combine several cold-weather features in one structure. The escape door also provides an alternative exit, an important consideration for a shelter used by animals that may need to leave quickly.

## Should you buy it?

The Pawtners PTPT067DH1 is a practical fit for someone preparing a dedicated outdoor resting place for feral, community, or other cats through cold weather. Its appeal comes from the combination of an insulated shelter, removable heated pad, all-metal frame, and escape door—not just its size. If your priority is a larger covered space with added warmth and outdoor-focused details, this design brings those functions together in a single cat house.
