## Description

Link2Cell Bluetooth lets you place and receive calls from paired cell phones through the cordless handsets. The four-handset system also includes a digital answering machine and call-blocking tools. Want to keep your cell phone where reception is best and still answer calls around the home? Pair up to two cell phones with the base and use a handset to manage mobile calls.

## Where it shines
This system brings landline and cell phone calling together in one home setup. Place handsets in different rooms so household members can answer calls without gathering around a single phone. Link2Cell alerts the handsets to incoming cell calls and texts, while Bluetooth pairing lets you make and receive mobile calls through a handset. It’s a practical arrangement for homes where a cell phone may stay in a convenient spot, but calls still need to be reachable elsewhere.

Call management is another key part of the design. Automated Call Block prompts callers to press 1 before connecting, and the one-touch Call Block button can block up to 1,000 numbers. One-Ring Scam Alert displays a confirmation screen when returning a one-ring call, adding a prompt before you call back. The phone also has a three-way conference call capability for conversations involving multiple participants.

## Highlights
The digital answering system records up to 18 minutes of messages, and a message counter shows when new messages are waiting. Two-way recording lets you record telephone conversations for later playback, an audible announcement at the start of recording informs callers. These functions are useful when you need to capture a message or keep track of important details from a call.

Large characters, an illuminated keypad, and speed dial make everyday dialing easier, including in low light. Talking Caller ID announces calls in English or Spanish. Speakerphone and intercom functions add hands-free options for calls and communication between handsets. The system can be expanded to support up to six handsets, giving households room to add coverage as their needs change.

Buyers commonly praise the setup and everyday features, particularly call blocking. Feedback on sound and incoming call alerts is mixed, and some customers raise concerns about battery life. These are individual customer impressions rather than a measure of how the phone will perform in every home.

## Tips for day-to-day use
Pair up to two cell phones with the base via Bluetooth, then use the cordless handsets to place and receive those mobile calls around the home. Keep the base and handsets arranged where household members can reach them, and use the illuminated keypad when dialing in dim rooms. For messages, check the counter for new recordings, for unwanted callers, use automated blocking or the one-touch button to add a number to the block list.

## Questions before you buy
Can it handle calls from a cell phone? Yes. Link2Cell connects up to two cell phones to the base over Bluetooth, so you can make and receive mobile calls through a cordless handset. The handsets can also alert you to incoming cell calls and texts.

How many handsets come with the system? The package is a four-handset system. It can be expanded to support up to six handsets.

Can it record messages and conversations? The digital answering system records up to 18 minutes of messages. Two-way recording also lets you record a telephone conversation for later playback, with an announcement at the beginning of recording.

## Final verdict
The Panasonic KX-TGD864W suits households that want several cordless handsets, a digital answering system, and a way to handle paired cell phone calls from around the home. Its combination of Link2Cell, expandable handset support, and built-in call management makes it especially useful for keeping everyday home calls accessible across multiple rooms.
