## Description

For anyone who wants one notebook format for journaling, planning, notes, and sketches, the PAGELYST dotted journal set offers a flexible starting point. Its subtle 5mm dot grid provides guidance for writing in straight lines or building layouts, while leaving more open space than a ruled page. The A5 size gives you room to work and is easy to carry between home, school, and work.

Use the four notebooks to organize separate projects, routines, or subjects, or share the set. Each is designed to open flat for writing and drawing across both sides of the spread.

## Getting the most from it

The dot grid supports bullet journal layouts, habit trackers, diagrams, and handwritten notes without imposing solid lines. For example, you can use one spread to map out a weekly plan and another for a meal plan or project notes, with the dots helping keep handwriting and drawn sections aligned. Unlike a lined notebook, this format leaves room for boxes, lists, and sketches, unlike a blank-page journal, it offers a light visual guide.

The 100 GSM acid-free paper is designed to resist yellowing and minimize show-through or bleed-through with most pens and markers. A smooth writing surface suits regular journaling as well as more structured planning. The rigid faux-leather cover provides a firm surface when you are writing away from a desk, and the notebook is designed to lie flat at 180 degrees for access across the spread.

Small details help keep a working journal organized. A built-in pen holder keeps a writing tool close at hand, the elastic band holds the notebook closed, and the expandable inner pocket stores loose cards or receipts. Two ribbon bookmarks make it easier to return to multiple sections. Four stencil cards can help you draw layouts, habit trackers, or decorative borders.

## Where it shines

This set works well for keeping different parts of daily life in separate places: use one notebook for school notes, another for meal planning, and others for creative ideas or habit tracking. The dotted pages make it straightforward to switch between written entries and drawn elements without changing notebooks. For a practical writing session, open a journal to sketch a tracker, add notes beside it, and use a ribbon bookmark to keep another section easy to find.

The classic color set also gives each project its own notebook, which can make a multi-topic journaling routine easier to organize. Its A5 format balances usable page space with portability, while the protective cover and closure suit regular carry in a bag.

## When it makes sense

Choose this set if you want a consistent dotted format for several journals, plans, or ongoing projects, rather than a single notebook dedicated to one task. The combination of dot-grid guidance, heavier paper, a lay-flat design, and built-in organization features supports both everyday writing and more visual planning. It’s a great fit if you want to move between notes, trackers, and sketches in a portable A5 journal, with four notebooks ready to assign to different parts of your routine.
