OXILAM 9005/HB3 Fog LED Bulb

When factory fog bulbs feel too dim for poorly lit roads, swapping to an LED option may be appealing—but fit and beam pattern matter as much as a bright color. The OXILAM 9005/HB3 is a two-bulb replacement set advertised with 6500K cool-white light and a beam design intended to spread illumination without glaring into oncoming traffic. It is listed for cars, trucks, and SUVs, though the 9005/HB3 designation still needs to match your vehicle. From the way it is set up, this is aimed at drivers who want a brighter-style replacement while keeping the factory housing, rather than adding a separate lighting system.

Highlights

The main draw is the combination of a cool-white output and a claimed 360-degree light pattern. OXILAM also advertises the bulbs as 900% brighter than the comparison standard it uses, but the provided details do not identify that baseline, so treat the figure as a marketing claim rather than a guaranteed real-world improvement. The stated 60,000-hour lifespan is another manufacturer claim, not a promise of how long a bulb will last in every vehicle or driving condition.

The package contains two bulbs, useful when replacing a pair rather than mixing an LED on one side with an older bulb on the other. The design includes heat management and an integrated smart chip, which the product description says supports broad, error-free vehicle compatibility. It also claims a direct fit in factory housings with no modifications. Those points make installation sound straightforward, but they do not confirm fitment for every vehicle configuration.

How it fits

OXILAM identifies this bulb as 9005/HB3 and lists cars, trucks, and SUVs as compatible vehicle types. That gives you a starting point, not a complete fitment list. Keep in mind that a vehicle’s year, trim, and lighting position can affect which bulb it needs, confirm that your fog-light socket calls for 9005/HB3 before buying. A broad compatibility claim cannot replace that check.

It suits you if your vehicle uses this bulb type and you want a two-piece LED set with a cool-white appearance. You may want to skip it if you need documented fitment for a specific vehicle or want measured brightness comparisons, since those details are not provided here. Compared with keeping a basic replacement bulb, this set emphasizes LED output and a wider light pattern, a more involved lighting upgrade would be a different route if a bulb-only swap is not enough for your needs.

Tips for day-to-day use

Before installation, compare the bulb designation with the one specified for your fog-light position. Once fitted, check the beam from the driver’s seat and make sure the lights do not distract other road users. For example, on a dark, wet stretch of road, the useful question is not just whether the light looks whiter against the pavement, but whether the pattern gives you usable coverage without scattering glare. The product description says its optics are designed to avoid blinding oncoming drivers, but it provides no independent beam test or vehicle-specific result.

Before you decide

What color light does it produce? The listed color temperature is 6500K, described as cool white.

How many bulbs come in the package? The product name identifies a pack of two.

Is it guaranteed to fit any car, truck, or SUV? No specific vehicle list is supplied. The stated 9005/HB3 type is the practical fitment detail to match against your fog-light socket.

Final verdict

This OXILAM set makes sense if you have confirmed a 9005/HB3 fog-light fitment and want two LED bulbs with a cool-white look, a claimed broad beam, and a factory-housing replacement approach. Its advertised brightness and lifespan may catch your eye, but the listing does not provide a comparison baseline, detailed vehicle fitment, or independent performance results. Choose it for the stated bulb type and feature set—not on the assumption that the headline claims guarantee a particular improvement in your vehicle.
