Oroonoko OR003-05R Cat Sofa Scratcher, Natural Sisal, Dark Gray, Right-Hand

A separate scratching spot can keep a cat’s activity away from the couch, while a sofa-mounted surface places it right where scratching already happens. The Oroonoko OR003-05R adds a natural sisal mat to the right-hand side of a sofa or chair. Its dark gray finish keeps the protector visually understated.

How it fits

This protector is designed for indoor cats and mounts over the right-hand side of a sofa, as viewed while sitting on it. To secure it, the furniture needs to allow leg ties, have an armrest no wider than 12 inches, and provide a side area of at least 23.6 by 19.7 inches. These measurements help determine whether the mat can cover the intended area and be fastened in place. When those conditions match your furniture, the mat brings a scratching surface directly to the couch arm rather than relying on a separate scratcher elsewhere in the room.

What stands out

Natural sisal gives cats a dedicated surface for scratching while helping shield the covered furniture from claws. The practical sofa-mount design makes the mat useful for a couch, sofa, or chair, and its dark gray color can blend into a range of interiors. It is a straightforward choice for households looking to redirect scratching at the furniture itself, with the scratcher positioned where the behavior occurs.

Buyer feedback often highlights the protector’s ease of installation, appearance, and usefulness for furniture protection. Experiences with fit vary, and some buyers say the mat does not stay in place as expected. Matching the sofa’s armrest width and side area to the stated fit conditions is a practical way to assess how it will sit on your furniture.
