Onforu Outdoor Wall Light, Black Metal

A porch or garage entrance often needs light without a bulky fixture taking over the wall. This Onforu outdoor wall light has a matte black metal frame and clear glass shade for a simple, traditional-meets-modern look.

The open bottom makes bulb changes and cleaning more accessible. The bulb itself is not included, so you can choose a compatible E26 bulb to suit the space.

If you prioritize a clear view of the bulb and easy access from below, this design makes sense, if you prefer a fixture that hides the bulb or has a more enclosed look, its clear shade may not be your style.

Getting the most from it

The fixture is designed for an exterior wall near a front door, porch, garage, patio, or backyard. For example, mounted beside an entry, it can frame the doorway while leaving a clear-glass bulb visible rather than concealing it behind an opaque cover. Its stated dimensions are 10 inches high, 5.5 inches long, and 4.7 inches wide, which gives you a useful sense of its wall presence before choosing a spot.

It uses a standard E26 socket and supports LED, CFL, incandescent, and halogen bulbs. Since the bulb is not included, remember to select one separately, the clear shade is especially suited to a bulb you’re happy to see. The open-bottom construction also gives you access for replacing the bulb or wiping the shade without taking the fixture apart.

Why it’s worth it

The practical appeal is the mix of straightforward styling and accessible upkeep. The matte black finish can work with a range of exterior looks, while the clear glass lets the bulb contribute to the fixture’s appearance. The metal frame and glass shade are described as weather-resistant, with protection against sunlight, rain, snow, and ice, the metal is also intended to resist rust and corrosion, according to the maker.

The shade arrives preassembled, and mounting hardware is included. That can simplify setup compared with a fixture that arrives in more pieces, though the product details don’t specify wiring requirements or the condition of your existing electrical box. It’s a great fit if you want a wall-mounted outdoor light with a visible bulb and uncomplicated access for routine cleaning. Better avoided if you specifically want a concealed bulb or need a fixture with documented electrical or installation details not provided here.

The essentials

This is a single outdoor wall sconce with a black metal frame, clear glass shade, and E26 socket. It is compatible with LED, CFL, incandescent, and halogen bulbs, but no bulb is supplied. The shade is preassembled, the bottom is open, and mounting hardware is included. Those details favor simple bulb access, the tradeoff is that the exposed bulb remains part of the look and will need to suit your taste.

The listing describes the fixture as waterproof and suitable for exposure to common outdoor conditions. That claim may make it worth considering for a covered or open entry area, but the supplied information does not give an installation rating or explain how much light a chosen bulb will produce. Match the bulb to your intended use and follow the fixture’s installation instructions rather than assuming every outdoor location is suitable.

Should you buy it?

Choose this Onforu sconce if you want a compact wall light with a clear shade, a visible E26 bulb, and an open base that makes replacement and cleaning easier. It offers a more decorative approach than a basic enclosed utility light, while keeping the bulb choice open across several common types. Skip it if the missing bulb is inconvenient, the visible-bulb style doesn’t suit your exterior, or you need specific installation or electrical ratings that aren’t listed. The best reason to buy is the combination of classic styling and accessible maintenance—not a promise of a particular brightness or fit for every wall.
