OLIGHT O-PROWESS-300000 Rechargeable Flashlight, 5,000 Lumens, Dual Lighting

What stands out

For nighttime searches, a campsite, or work around the house, the OLIGHT Prowess combines a focused forward beam with a separate warm-white light on the back. A side toggle switches between the two, so you can choose directed illumination or a broader light for nearby tasks. The forward beam reaches up to 245 meters, while the maximum output is 5,000 lumens.

This two-direction design offers a different approach from a flashlight made only for throwing a beam ahead. Use the front LEDs to scan a path or look across an outdoor area, switch to the rear light for reading, a bedside setup, or general ambient lighting. The rear light spreads illumination around the body, dims continuously, and reaches up to 800 lumens. The two light directions are selected separately with the toggle.

Key features

Six LEDs provide five brightness levels for adjusting the forward light to the task. The cool-white beam is suited to searching and seeing farther ahead, while the warm-white rear lighting gives you an alternative for closer, more comfortable illumination. This makes the Prowess useful for both outdoor activities and practical jobs indoors, rather than relying on one beam style for every situation.

The magnetic tail cap attaches to steel surfaces, which can leave your hands free during night work or maintenance. For other setups, the bottom has a 1/4-inch threaded hole for tripod use, and the included holster and bracket support carrying or mounting the light on a wall. The detachable base provides USB-C charging, the package also includes a USB-C cable. The flashlight is rated IPX7 waterproof for use in wet outdoor conditions.

Customers often highlight the brightness, the choice between front and rear lighting, and the range of ways to position the light. Feedback on battery life is mixed, so it is useful to choose the brightness and lighting direction that fit the task. It suits you if you want one rechargeable light for both a forward search beam and hands-free lighting around a work area, tent, or room.

Getting the most from it

Choose the forward light when you need to direct illumination toward a path, a search area, or a repair. For nearby reading or a broader pool of light, switch to the warm-white rear side and adjust its brightness as needed. The magnetic base can hold the light against a suitable steel surface, while the threaded bottom offers another way to position it on a tripod. USB-C charging through the detachable base makes recharging part of the regular setup between uses.

The included holster is useful when carrying the flashlight between locations, and the bracket gives you a wall-mounted option when you want it accessible in a fixed spot. These different setups make it practical to move between outdoor use, a workbench, and home lighting without treating it as a single-purpose search light.

Is it worth it?

The Prowess is a compelling fit for buyers who want a high-output forward flashlight and a separate, dimmable warm-white light in the same rechargeable unit. Its 245-meter beam supports searching outdoors, while the magnetic tail cap, tripod thread, holster, and wall bracket provide practical ways to use or position it. Choose it for camping, hiking, home emergencies, or night work when switching between a focused beam and close-range ambient lighting is a useful advantage.
