## Description

The 5 oz Olababy Silicone Straw Training Cup is made from soft, lilac silicone and sized for infants and toddlers from 6 to 18 months. Its see-through sides and measurement markings make it easy to check liquid levels, while the flexible material and non-slip surface are designed for little hands learning to hold a cup.

A straw and lid support familiar sip-cup use, and the cup can also serve as a mini open cup. That gives caregivers a practical way to offer different drinking styles at mealtimes or during everyday routines at home and on the go.

## Technical details
- Capacity: 5 oz
- Material: Silicone, free of BPA, PVC, lead, and phthalates
- Color: Lilac
- Age range: 6 to 18 months
- Dimensions: 2.5" W x 4.8" H
- Design: Non-slip surface, wide weighted base, see-through sides, and measurement markings
- Care: Top-rack dishwasher safe, microwave and freezer safe, heat safe up to 428°F/220°C

The broad, weighted base is intended to add stability on a surface, while the textured grip helps small hands hold and guide the cup. Measurement markings make it easier to see how much is inside without opening the lid. The soft silicone is also designed to be gentle around developing gums and teeth. Compared with a traditional handled or spouted sippy cup, this design offers both straw drinking and a small open-cup option in one vessel, which can be useful as a child practices different ways to drink.

## How to use it
Add water, a smoothie, or another suitable drink, then offer the cup with its straw for sipping. For practice with open-cup drinking, it can also be used without relying on the straw. The product is described for cold, warm, and hot liquids, as well as thin solids such as smoothies. Its compact 5 oz capacity suits smaller servings during meals, snacks, or travel, and the visible markings help caregivers check the amount at a glance.

Buyer feedback often highlights the cup’s manageable size, easy-to-use straw, and straightforward cleaning. Reports about spill control are less consistent: some customers describe the lid as staying in place, while others report that liquid can escape through the straw or that the lid may come off. That feedback is worth keeping in mind when choosing how to carry or set down a filled cup.

## Box contents
The package includes one training cup and one silicone straw with a lid. After use, the cup can go on the top rack of the dishwasher, it is also listed as microwave- and freezer-safe. These care options make it practical for repeated use as part of a regular feeding routine.

## Buying verdict
For caregivers looking for a small silicone cup that can introduce straw drinking and open-cup practice, the Olababy HU-XI-17 brings both formats together with a grippy surface, a stable base, and visible liquid markings. Its 5 oz size is suited to infant and toddler servings, while the included straw and lid provide a ready-to-use setup for everyday feeding. It suits you if you want a reusable training cup for introducing independent sipping at home, mealtimes, or while traveling.
