Nulo Freestyle 51PS26 Puppy Dry Dog Food, Salmon & Peas, Grain-Free, 26 lb
Product description
Growing puppies need food formulated for development, and Nulo Freestyle Puppy Salmon & Peas brings together animal-based protein and nutrients for that stage.
Deboned salmon leads the recipe, with 80% of its protein coming from animal sources. The grain-free dry kibble is packaged in a 26 lb bag for everyday puppy meals.
DHA, probiotics, and balanced calcium and phosphorus give the formula a focused role in supporting brain, digestive, and bone development as your puppy grows.
Key takeaways
This recipe uses deboned salmon as its first ingredient, alongside menhaden fish meal and peas. Nulo states that 80% of the protein comes from animal sources, supporting a protein-forward approach to puppy nutrition. Natural DHA from salmon and taurine are included to support brain development and vision, while omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids help nourish skin and coat.
Calcium and phosphorus support bone development. Prebiotic fibers and BC30 probiotics are included to support digestion and nutrient absorption. These features make the recipe distinct from a grain-inclusive puppy kibble: it pairs a salmon-and-peas formula with grain-free ingredients and several nutrients aimed at healthy development.
Buyers commonly mention that their puppies enjoy the food and appreciate its nutritional profile. Those comments reflect individual experiences, the documented ingredients and formulation features provide the clearest basis for choosing it.
Everyday use
The dry kibble format suits regular puppy mealtimes, and the recipe is intended for puppy care, growth, and development. Its salmon-based protein and added DHA, probiotics, calcium, and phosphorus bring several development-focused features together in one food, rather than relying on a basic kibble without these highlighted ingredients.
The formula is grain-free and does not use chicken or egg protein. It also excludes corn, wheat, soy, white potatoes, rice, and tapioca. For households selecting food around these ingredient preferences, the salmon-and-peas recipe offers a clearly defined alternative. Check the ingredient list against your puppy’s individual dietary needs when choosing a new food.
Practical tips
Use the package’s feeding guidance to portion meals for your puppy, and keep fresh water available with dry food. If you are comparing puppy formulas, focus on the protein source and the nutrients that matter for your priorities. Here, deboned salmon leads the ingredient list, while DHA, omega fatty acids, prebiotic fibers, and BC30 probiotics address brain, skin and coat, and digestive support.
This recipe is identified for all breed sizes in the product details. Its smaller kibble size is described as supporting chewing, making the format a practical consideration for puppy meals. The 26 lb bag provides a substantial supply of dry food for a household planning routine puppy feeding around a salmon-based, grain-free recipe.
