## Description

Choosing headphones for everyday listening often comes down to whether you want simple wireless playback or more control over noise, sound, and device connections. Nothing Headphone (1) brings adaptive hybrid noise cancellation, KEF-tuned audio, and a choice of wireless or wired listening in one over-ear design.

Its long playback time and physical controls make it easy to move between focused listening, calls, and shared spaces.

## Tips for day-to-day use
Switch between High, Mid, Low, and Adaptive ANC settings to suit your surroundings, or use Transparency Mode when you want to hear ambient sound. For example, Adaptive ANC can help manage changing background noise during a commute, while Transparency Mode offers a practical way to stay more aware during a break. The Nothing X app adds an 8-band equalizer and customizable controls, so you can tailor the sound and shortcuts to your routine.

The roller and paddle controls handle volume, playback, and noise modes without relying solely on an app. Bluetooth supports listening with compatible devices, and Dual Connection lets you switch between two devices. For wired playback, the headphones also support USB-C audio and a 3.5 mm connection. A five-minute charge provides up to five hours of playback with ANC off, useful when you need a quick top-up before heading out.

## What stands out
The combination of adaptive noise control and several listening options makes these headphones more versatile than a basic wireless pair built mainly for casual playback. Choose an ANC level for concentration, switch to transparency when you need environmental awareness, or connect by cable for wired listening. KEF-tuned audio, LDAC support, and spatial sound with head tracking add options for music and other supported content, while the 40 mm dynamic drivers provide the core over-ear audio setup.

Battery life supports extended listening between charges: up to 80 hours with ANC off, or up to 35 hours with it on. Six microphones support calls, and the app’s equalizer lets listeners adjust the sound rather than relying on a fixed profile. Buyers frequently highlight the sound, design, noise cancellation, and app-based adjustments, as well as the distinctive physical controls. These are customer impressions, not a substitute for the listed features, but they point to the aspects people tend to notice in daily use.

## Buying verdict
A solid pick if you want over-ear headphones that combine adaptive ANC with long playback, app-based sound customization, and both wireless and wired listening. The physical controls make everyday adjustments straightforward, while the two-device connection and included audio cables give you flexibility across compatible listening setups. For commutes, desk sessions, and switching between devices, Headphone (1) brings useful control and listening options together in a single pair.
