Color Noise FETEGT1297 White Noise Machine with 25 Sounds and 32 Volume Levels

Some people want a steady background sound for sleep, while others need a more varied soundscape for quiet time at home or focus at work. The Color Noise FETEGT1297 brings those options together in a compact white noise machine with 25 sounds, adjustable volume, and timer controls.

Its four sound categories make it easy to choose a track for the moment, and the memory function saves settings by category. Use it on a nightstand, in a family room, or at your desk.

Key features

Choose among white noise, fan sounds, light music, and nature sounds. White noise options include soft, brown, pink, blue, and white noise, other tracks include lullabies, meditation, fire, water drops, rain and thunder, and waves. This range lets you pick a consistent noise profile or a gentler musical or nature sound, depending on the setting. The machine is designed to help mask disruptive or startling noises, which can be useful when hallway sounds or everyday household activity interrupt a quiet environment.

With 32 volume levels, you can adjust the sound to suit your room and routine. Five timer options include continuous play and automatic shutoff after one, two, three, or four hours. When a timed session ends, the sound fades gradually before turning off, helping avoid an abrupt stop during sleep. The memory function can retain the volume, track, and timer settings for each sound category, so returning to a familiar setup takes less adjustment.

Would a single sound need to work for both bedtime and daytime use? The separate categories and remembered settings make it practical to switch between a sleep track and a sound for work or family time.

Customers often highlight the straightforward controls, range of sounds, and compact size, with some finding it convenient to take along when traveling. Sound quality opinions are mixed: some enjoy the white noise and soothing tracks, while others are less satisfied with how they sound. That feedback makes personal sound preference a useful part of choosing a machine, alongside its controls and timer options.

Tips for day-to-day use

Start with a track that fits the room: a steady noise for masking background sounds, or a nature or music option for a softer atmosphere. Adjust the volume to a comfortable level, then use a timer when you want the machine to stop after a set period. For a continuing background sound, select continuous play. The large, simple controls also provide access to track selection, the night light, ambient light color, and timer settings.

Its compact, lightweight design makes it easy to place beside a bed or move between rooms. The included adapter and USB cable provide the supplied connection accessories, while the saved settings help maintain familiar choices when switching between sound categories.

How to use it

Place the machine where its sound can provide a comfortable background in your chosen space. Select one of the four categories, choose a track, and set the volume using the available levels. Set continuous play or choose a one-, two-, three-, or four-hour timer. If you want a night light, use the controls to turn it on and change the ambient light color. The machine remembers track, volume, and timer settings separately for each category, making it easier to return to a preferred combination.

At home, it can support a calmer bedtime sound environment for adults or kids. In an office, a selected sound can help cover nearby noise and add privacy to conversations. Its portable format also suits moving it between a work area and a bedroom as your routine changes.

Should you buy it?

It suits you if you want more than one kind of background sound, adjustable volume, and timed playback in a compact device. The separate sound categories and memory function are especially useful for households that switch between sleep, work, and quieter family time.
