## Description

This heavy-duty rocker toggle switch from Nilight fits straightforward installations where a simple, durable ON/OFF control is needed, such as automotive accessories, marine equipment, or workshop tools. It offers a solid metal/plastic construction with a waterproof rubber boot for outdoor or damp environments, and it comes as a pack of five for projects that need multiple switches.

## Key Points

The switch is a single-pole single-throw (SPST) design with two terminals for straightforward on/off operation. Its combination of plastic and metal parts gives a balanced feel between lightweight and robustness. The rubber waterproof cap helps keep moisture and dust away from the actuator and terminals, which is useful for vehicles and exposed installations. According to the manufacturer, mechanical life exceeds 50,000 cycles while electrical life is more than 10,000 cycles, so it is intended for repeated use. Each unit includes a waterproof cover and the package contains five switches, which makes it convenient for multi-point setups.

## Technical Specifications

- Name: **Nilight 90012E Heavy Duty Rocker Toggle 5-Pack**
- Type: SPST, 2-pin ON/OFF
- Rated current/voltage: 15 A at 250 VAC, 20 A at 125 VAC
- Mounting hole diameter: 12 mm
- Life expectancy: Mechanical > 50,000 cycles, Electrical > 10,000 cycles

## Usage Recommendations

Installers will appreciate the machine-screw terminals that allow quick, secure wire connections, and these same terminals can be soldered if preferred. The 12 mm mounting hole is a common size for panels, so it tends to fit existing cutouts or simple drill templates. Consider using thread sealant or a gasket on very exposed installations for extra protection against long-term water ingress, especially when saltwater exposure is possible. Note that while the rubber boot improves resistance, extremely submerged conditions may still require fully sealed components.

## Positive Aspects

The pack format suits small fleets or multi-device projects and reduces the need to source switches individually. The appearance is described as neat and higher-end compared to basic rocker toggles, which helps maintain a cleaner panel look. The combination of a metal connection core and plastic body keeps weight down while maintaining sturdy switching action. Overall, the product balances practical electrical ratings with weather-resistant touches for outdoor and vehicle applications.
