## Description

Some listeners want a quick selection of individual tracks, others prefer an album that unfolds as a complete musical setting. Metro Bar brings Nighthawks’ urban groove-jazz sound to a black-and-orange gatefold double LP. Looking for music that evokes a city after dark? Its trumpet melodies, cool grooves, and atmospheric samples create a vivid backdrop for an evening at home.

## How to use it
Put on Metro Bar when you want an album-length listening session shaped by nighttime city scenes. The tracks move between reflective melodies and more propulsive grooves, making the record a natural fit for a quiet evening or music in the background while winding down. Rather than building a playlist track by track, you can follow the album’s own sequence, from “Joker Sleeps” and “Direction Downtown” through “Nightflight” and “Armatura Zalau.”

The music comes from the German duo Nighthawks: producer and bassist Dal Martino and trumpeter Reiner Winterschladen. Their approach combines groove-focused production with trumpet lines and atmospheric textures. The result leans into an urban soundtrack mood—cool and composed, with melodic passages that bring warmth and feeling to the late-night setting.

## Strengths
Metro Bar is more than a collection of city-inspired titles: its tracks suggest distinct scenes and moods. “Direction Downtown” calls up the atmosphere of a busy spot at blue hour, while “Nightflight” carries a cinematic sense of movement. “Joker Sleeps” puts Winterschladen’s trumpet over a tougher theme, giving the album room for both tension and expressive melody.

The double-LP presentation gives the release a substantial physical format, while the gatefold sleeve and black-and-orange design make the edition visually distinctive. Its 180-gram pressing is a specific feature for listeners choosing a physical vinyl edition. If your priority is an urban jazz album with a clear sense of atmosphere, rather than a broad mix of unrelated styles, Metro Bar keeps its focus on that nighttime sound.
