## Description

For a 30–36 inch freshwater tank with plants and fish, the NEOAQLUX ASKXW combines adjustable aquarium lighting with a built-in daily cycle.

Choose from full-spectrum light, 12 color options, and a gradient mode to shape the look of the aquarium.

Its sunrise-to-daylight-to-moonlight mode and automatic controls make it easier to set a consistent lighting routine.

## Key takeaways

The ASKXW is an LED aquarium light designed for 30–36 inch tanks. Extendable brackets support a bracket-mounted setup, while the full-spectrum LEDs offer 12 color options and a gradient mode. This gives you a choice between a changing, natural-style cycle and more hands-on color selection.

For automatic operation, choose the 24/7 mode or one of five timer settings: 4, 6, 8, 10, or 12 hours. The 24/7 cycle moves through sunrise, daylight, sunset, and moonlight, the timer turns the light on and off on a daily schedule. Nine brightness levels, adjustable from 20% to 100%, let you tailor the light to your preferred aquarium presentation. A memory function restores the last setting when power is restored.

## Getting the most from it

Set the light across the tank using its extendable brackets, then select the mode that fits your routine. The default cycle is suited to anyone who wants lighting to transition through different times of day without changing the setting manually. For a set daily lighting window, choose a timer duration instead. DIY mode combines full spectrum, color selection, gradient effects, and brightness adjustment for a more customized look.

The light has an ABS housing and a clear panel, and its IP68 rating allows full submersion. It is corded electric and uses a power adapter, so plan the placement with access to power in mind. The included components are the lamp body, two brackets, power adapter, and user manual.

## Everyday use

In a planted freshwater tank, the adjustable spectrum and brightness give you practical ways to set the aquarium’s appearance, while the automatic cycle provides a gradual shift from morning light to moonlight. For a display focused on fish colors, the 12 options and gradient mode offer alternatives to a single fixed-color setting. Select the approach that suits your tank: automated day-and-night transitions for routine use, or DIY controls when you want to change color and brightness yourself.

Buyer feedback often highlights the range of colors, brightness adjustment, and day-to-night transitions. Experiences with stability are mixed: some buyers say the light sags in the middle, while another reports that it sits well on a metal mesh cover. The extendable brackets provide the intended mounting method for the specified tank range.

## Questions before you buy

What tank size is the ASKXW designed for? It is made for 30–36 inch aquariums, with extendable brackets for mounting.

Can it turn on and off automatically? Yes. Choose the 24/7 cycle or one of the five timer durations, from 4 to 12 hours, for daily automatic operation.

Can you adjust the color and brightness? Yes. The light offers 12 color options, gradient mode, and nine brightness levels ranging from 20% to 100%. Its memory function restores the last setting when power is restored.

## Buying verdict

The NEOAQLUX ASKXW is a practical fit for freshwater tank owners who want more than a fixed aquarium light. Its 30–36 inch fit, selectable colors, adjustable brightness, and automatic day-to-night modes bring flexible lighting control to a planted or fish-focused display.
