## Description

Handling a hot crucible with ordinary pliers can make a pour feel awkward, especially when you need to keep the vessel steady. Nelyrho pairs a pouring rack with a #4 graphite crucible so the crucible can be held and poured with one hand. The rack is designed for the included 4.5 kg crucible, and its thumbscrew tightens after the crucible is placed. That setup is intended to make transferring molten metal more controlled, rather than relying on a basic pair of tongs alone.

## Best use cases

This set is aimed at people using a melting furnace for small-scale metal casting, including gold, silver, aluminum, or brass. A practical example: after melting metal, you place the crucible in the rack, tighten the thumbscrew, and use the assembled tool to direct the pour into a mold. The one-handed arrangement may be useful when the weight of the crucible makes ordinary pliers feel less secure, though safe handling still depends on your furnace setup and working area.

Worth considering if you want the pouring rack and crucible together and your work calls for the specified 4.5 kg size. It may not suit you if you need another crucible capacity or are looking for a tool intended for a different setup. The listing does not give the rack’s dimensions, making workspace clearance difficult to judge without that measurement.

## Product specs

The package includes an all-metal pouring rack and a #4 graphite crucible with a stated capacity of 4.5 kg (9.9 lbs). The rack is described as heat-resistant and specifically designed for a 4.5 kg crucible. A thumbscrew secures the crucible in the rack before pouring. The graphite crucible is a consumable item, so it will need replacement over time, the listing does not specify its service life.

Although the product name references melting furnaces and casting gold, silver, aluminum, and brass, the available details do not establish dimensions or additional compatibility requirements. Match the crucible size to your process and available workspace before choosing this set.

## Where it shines

The main distinction is the rack: instead of gripping the crucible directly with ordinary pliers, this design holds it in a dedicated support and is meant to make pouring possible with one hand. That could make the transfer from furnace to mold feel more manageable when the included crucible size is right for the job. The all-metal rack and graphite crucible also give you the two main pieces together, rather than requiring you to source a holder separately.

The tradeoff is that the rack is specified for this crucible size, so it is not a flexible pick for someone planning to work across several crucible capacities. The graphite vessel is also replaceable rather than permanent equipment. Those details matter more than the broad claim of convenience if you cast regularly or need a particular fit.

## Final verdict

Choose the Nelyrho set if you need a pouring rack designed around a 4.5 kg graphite crucible and want a one-handed alternative to ordinary pliers for furnace casting. Skip it if your process requires a different crucible size, or if you need dimensions to confirm the tool will fit your workspace before buying. The included consumable crucible is convenient to start with, but replacement is part of owning it.
