## Description

Set up a microphone for a podcast, voice recording, or livestream and position it where you need it with the NEEWER NW-35A boom arm. Its adjustable height and angle let you bring a compatible mic closer for recording, then fold the arm away when you want to clear the workspace.

A desk clamp anchors the arm at the edge of your setup, while the included cable straps help keep the microphone cable organized along the boom.

## What you’ll notice day to day
The scissor-style arm adjusts for distance, height, and angle, making it useful when switching between speaking positions or sharing a desk for different recording tasks. It rotates 360°, tilts 135°, and its arm sections adjust through a 180° range. To reposition it, loosen the adjustment knob, move the arm, and tighten it again. The foldable design also makes it easier to move or put away when the recording session is over.

The clamp-based setup is a practical alternative to a stand with a separate desk base: it attaches to the desktop and keeps the microphone supported on an articulated arm. Rubber padding on the clamp helps protect the desk surface from scratches and scuffs.

## What matters most
The steel arm supports a maximum load of 1.5kg. Its 3/8" to 5/8" screw adapter connects microphones with a compatible mount, including models such as the Blue Yeti, Blue Snowball, Yeti X, and Quadcast. The included microphone clip accommodates a mic shaft up to 1.26" (3.2cm) in diameter. Check the microphone’s mounting thread or shaft size against the adapter or clip before setting up.

The desk clamp fits desktops up to 2" (5.3cm) thick. Included components are the boom arm, desk clamp, microphone clip, screw adapter, and five cable straps. Together, these make the arm a straightforward choice for a desk-based recording setup where adjustable mic placement and cable organization are useful.

Buyers often praise how the stand works with Blue Snowball microphones and its microphone-holding performance. Feedback on stability, sturdiness, and adjustability is mixed, and some buyers raise concerns about clamp durability. These comments reflect varied user experiences rather than a guarantee of performance.

## Everyday use
For a recording session, attach the clamp to the desk, mount a compatible microphone, and adjust the arm to bring it into position. The cable straps help route the mic cable alongside the arm, while the spring-supported structure and adjustment knob let you set the boom’s position. When the session is finished, fold the arm toward the desk instead of leaving it extended across the work area.

## Buying verdict
The NEEWER NW-35A suits desk recording setups that need an adjustable, clamp-mounted boom rather than a fixed microphone position. Its 1.5kg load capacity, included 3/8" to 5/8" adapter, microphone clip, and cable straps support a tidy, repositionable setup for podcasting, broadcasting, and voice recording.
