## Description

For anyone looking to protect an appliance top while adding a decorative touch, this Starry Night Black Cat mat combines an absorbent surface with a non-slip base. Its 23.6 x 19.7-inch rectangular format is designed for washer and dryer tops. The cat-and-night-sky design brings a distinct look to a laundry area, while the mat helps catch dust and water stains.

## Tech specs
- Name: Starry Night Black Cat
- Type: Washer and dryer top cover mat
- Format: Rectangle
- Size: 23.6 x 19.7 inches
- Material: Diatomaceous earth
- Features: Absorbent surface and non-slip base
- Reference: MTEXYMG-dryer cover-01

The diatomaceous earth surface absorbs water, helping keep the appliance top dry after everyday splashes. It also provides a place for small items to rest without placing them directly on the washer or dryer surface. The non-slip base helps the mat stay positioned during regular use, and its protective surface helps shield appliances from dust, water marks, and everyday bumps. Together, these features make it useful as both a practical cover and a decorative accent.

## What it works with
The mat is intended for the tops of household washing machines and dryers, and is also described for refrigerators. Measure the surface you want to cover and compare it with the mat’s 23.6 x 19.7-inch size before buying. The mat can be trimmed to size, which also makes it adaptable for smaller surfaces such as coffee tables and nightstands, or for use as a feeding mat. Its rectangular shape offers a simple way to add a protective layer without changing the appliance itself.

## Tips for day-to-day use
For routine care, wipe the surface with a damp cloth or sponge. A brush can be used to remove dust and stains. When you want to clear the appliance top, roll the mat up and store it in a drawer or on a shelf. This keeps it compact between uses. The mat is shipped folded, so temporary creases may be present at first, roll it up and store it for a while to help them disappear. Before setting it down, make sure the appliance top is an appropriate size for the mat and position it flat for everyday use.

Compared with a plain cover chosen only to hide an appliance top, this mat pairs a decorative black cat print with absorbency and a non-slip base. That makes it a practical choice when you want the top protected from common dust and water marks while keeping the laundry area visually distinctive. The option to trim it also suits smaller surfaces beyond standard appliance tops.

## Practical questions

**Can I use it on a refrigerator?** Yes. It is described for use on refrigerators as well as washing machines and dryers. Compare the surface dimensions with the mat’s size before placing it.

**How should I clean the mat?** Wipe it with a damp cloth or sponge, or use a brush to remove dust and stains.

**How can I store it when it is not in use?** Roll it up and place it in a drawer or on a shelf. This compact storage approach also helps address temporary creases from folded shipping.

## Final verdict
This mat suits shoppers who want a functional cover with a more personal look than a plain appliance protector. Its absorbent diatomaceous earth surface, non-slip base, easy wipe-down care, and trimmable rectangular format make it useful for washer and dryer tops, with additional applications on other small household surfaces.
