## Description

A soundbar setup can take up shelf space, while a separate mount keeps the speaker positioned with your TV. The Mounting Dream MD5428 attaches to a TV, TV mount, or compatible wall or stand setup. Its adjustable holder fits soundbars with or without mounting holes and supports models weighing up to 26.5 lb.

## Best use cases
Use the MD5428 to mount a soundbar above or below a TV while keeping the speaker off the media console. It can attach to a TV or TV mount, as well as a TV stand, brick wall, concrete wall, or wood stud. That gives you mounting options for different home theater layouts, whether the TV is wall-mounted or placed on furniture.

The adjustable base holder extends from 3.44 to 6.06 inches to accommodate different soundbar widths. This makes the mount useful when the speaker’s base needs a closer fit than a fixed-width holder can provide. Before installation, compare the soundbar’s weight and mounting points with the mount’s capacity and the TV’s VESA spacing. The MD5428 is not suitable for the Sony HT-A5000. For the Sony HT-A7000, the manufacturer describes installation without using the soundbar’s mounting holes.

## What stands out
The MD5428’s adjustable holder and support for soundbars with or without holes address two common setup needs in one mount. Its 600 x 400 mm maximum TV VESA spacing also allows it to work with a range of TV mounting layouts. Compared with placing a soundbar on a separate shelf, mounting it with the TV can free up console space and keep the speaker in the same general setup as the display.

Installation hardware and a user manual are included. Buyer feedback on installation, fit, and hardware is mixed: some customers appreciate the adjustability and report an easy setup, while others describe alignment or screw-length issues. Matching the TV’s mounting pattern and the soundbar’s mounting points to the intended setup is a practical step before assembly.

It makes sense if you want a metal bracket that can support a soundbar up to 26.5 lb and adjust to different base widths. For a living room or home theater where console space matters, the choice of TV, stand, or wall mounting helps tailor the installation to the room.

## Final verdict
The Mounting Dream MD5428 combines a 26.5 lb capacity, an adjustable 3.44–6.06-inch holder, and compatibility with soundbars that have mounting holes or a flat base. It’s a practical fit for organizing a TV and soundbar setup while keeping the speaker off the main viewing surface.
