## Description

For caregivers introducing a baby to independent drinking, the Moonkie cup offers a way to move from a spout to a straw and then an open cup. Its 4 oz size suits early drinking practice, while the soft silicone body and easy-grip handles are designed for little hands. The cup is made from 100% food-grade silicone and is dishwasher-safe and boil-proof.

## Key points

One cup supports three drinking stages: sippy cup, straw cup, and open cup. That progression gives caregivers a practical way to introduce different drinking skills as a child grows, rather than choosing a single-style cup for just one stage. The open-cup option can be held by an adult while a baby practices sipping from a rim.

The soft silicone spout and straw are gentle against developing gums and teeth. A built-in valve controls flow: a child needs to suck through the straw for liquid to come out, and the spout opens when bitten in the correct direction. For straw use, install the straw in the correct direction so a child can draw liquid through it. The double-seal lid connection and valve are designed to help contain spills during everyday use.

The 4 oz capacity is sized for early practice with small drinks. Its all-silicone construction is free of BPA, PVC, phthalates, and other heavy metals. For cleanup, the cup is dishwasher-safe, boil-proof, and microwave-safe, its detachable parts can be separated for cleaning.

## Fit and sizing

The cup holds 4 oz. The sippy-cup stage is intended for babies 4 months and older who can sit up and hold a cup independently. The straw-training stage is intended for 6 months and older, as is the open-cup stage, the open cup should be held by an adult. These stage-specific directions help caregivers choose how to introduce the cup based on the child’s drinking practice.

For example, a caregiver can begin with the spout for a baby learning to hold a cup, then introduce the straw as the child practices sucking to drink. At mealtime, an adult can hold the open cup for supervised sips. This makes the three formats useful for practicing different ways to drink within familiar routines.

## Who it’s for

Moonkie’s training cup is intended for caregivers looking for a compact first cup that can support more than one stage of drinking practice. Its 4 oz capacity, soft silicone parts, and handles address the practical needs of early use, while the three-in-one design lets families use a spout, straw, or open rim. It makes sense if you want one cup to introduce these formats instead of buying a separate cup for each style.

Buyers commonly praise its small size for early drinks and mention that it is easy to clean. Feedback about spill resistance and the lid staying in place is mixed, so experiences with those details vary. The cup’s valve and double-seal design are intended to help contain liquid, and correct straw installation supports drinking through the straw.

## Is it worth it?

This cup stands out for combining three drinking formats in a 4 oz silicone design, with age guidance for each stage and straightforward cleaning options. It suits caregivers who want to introduce independent drinking progressively, from a spout to straw practice and supervised open-cup sips. Its strongest practical benefit is having those stages available in one compact cup for early drinking routines.
