## Description

At 4 oz, this Moonkie silicone training cup gives babies a manageable amount as they begin learning to drink from a cup. Its three-stage design transitions from a sippy spout to a straw and then an open cup.

The soft, food-grade silicone is gentle on little mouths, while easy-grip handles help small hands hold the cup during practice. A sturdy base helps keep it steady on a table.

Some families need a familiar spout for early practice, others want to move toward straw or open-cup drinking. This cup brings those stages together in one compact design.

## Getting the most from it

Start with the drinking style suited to your child’s stage, then change the setup as they practice new skills. The sippy cup is intended for babies 4 months and older who can sit up and hold a cup. The straw cup is for 6 months and older, and the open cup is for 6 months and older when held by an adult.

For the straw to work, install it in the correct direction. The built-in valve lets liquid flow when the child sucks, while the spout is designed to open when bitten in the right direction. Slightly tilting the cup can help with drinking from the spout. These details support a more controlled introduction to independent drinking, with an open-cup option for adult-assisted practice.

The all-silicone construction is compact and lightweight for outings, and the parts detach for cleaning. The cup is dishwasher-safe, boil-proof, and microwave-safe, making it practical to include in everyday feeding routines.

## Why it’s worth it

Rather than buying a separate cup for each drinking style, this three-in-one format lets caregivers switch between a spout, straw, and open cup as a child learns. Its 4 oz capacity is sized for early practice with small servings of water or milk, and the soft silicone spout and straw offer a gentle feel for developing teeth and gums.

The manufacturer describes a double-seal lid and a valve in the spout and straw to help control spills. Buyer feedback is mixed on leak resistance and lid security: some say the cup stays closed and does not leak, while others report minor leakage or a lid that opens when dropped. Customers also commonly appreciate the compact size and ease of cleaning. This makes the cup’s convertible design and small serving size its clearest practical advantages for early drinking practice.

## Is it worth it?

For caregivers introducing a baby to drinking beyond a bottle, the main draw is having three drinking styles in one 4 oz cup. The soft silicone, handles for little hands, and detachable parts support everyday practice at home or on the go, while the staged design gives families a way to move from a spout to a straw and adult-held open-cup use. It makes sense if you want one compact cup for early drinking skills and small servings.
