Monoprice 14AWG Speaker Wire 50 Feet
Product description
Monoprice 14AWG speaker wire delivers clean signal transfer for home audio and in-wall installs, combining oxygen-free copper conductors and a CL2 rated jacket for safety. This two-conductor cable is built to keep amplifier load close to your speaker impedance, helping preserve clarity and dynamics during listening sessions.
Key features
The cable uses high purity oxygen-free bare copper greater than 99.95 percent pure, which reduces resistive losses compared with lower grade alloys. Color-coded PVC jackets make polarity identification straightforward during hookup, and the 14AWG gauge balances conductivity with flexibility. The CL2 rating means the jacket meets in-wall fire safety standards for residential class buildings, which can simplify routing in wall cavities. Keep in mind that actual performance gains depend on your system and run length, according to the manufacturer.

Usage tips
Installers will appreciate the clear polarity markers and flexible PVC jacket that ease pulls through studs and behind walls. If you prioritize long runs, 14AWG offers a practical balance between signal preservation and manageability. It’s a great fit if you want a straightforward speaker cable for typical room-to-room wiring, and worth considering when matching to modest to mid-power consumer amplifiers.
Care & maintenance
Avoid sharp bends and tight staples that could nick the conductor or jacket. For long-term reliability, keep connections clean and use properly sized terminals or banana plugs when possible. Occasional visual checks behind panels help ensure no chafing or moisture intrusion has occurred.
