## Description

Give your indoor cat a designated place to scratch, stretch, and settle in with the MECOOL MC22LSC-02. Its corrugated cardboard surface provides a focused alternative to scratching around the home, while the box gives cats a place to lounge.

The reversible scratch pad is designed for use on both sides, so you can turn it over when one surface has seen more use. Catnip is included to add interest during play and exploration.

If you’re choosing between a basic scratch pad and a scratcher that can also serve as a resting spot, this set combines both uses in one floor-mounted design. It suits everyday indoor routines without needing a separate lounge bed beside the scratching area.

## Key takeaways

The corrugated cardboard surface gives cats a dedicated place to scratch, helping redirect that natural activity toward a designated spot rather than furniture. Its reversible design offers a second usable surface, making it easy to turn the pad over as your cat uses it. The box also serves as a lounge bed, so the same setup can support both scratching and resting.

Catnip comes with the set and can help introduce the scratcher to a curious cat. Place it in a familiar indoor area where your cat already likes to play or relax, then let the scratch pad and resting space become part of that routine. Buyers often praise its scratching performance, durability, and ability to keep loose cardboard mess contained. Opinions on size are more mixed, with some finding it small for larger cats, consider the listed pad dimensions when choosing a spot.

## Quick sizing guide

The scratch pad measures 17.1 x 9.7 x 1.2 inches. Use those dimensions to judge how much floor space it will occupy and whether the surface suits your cat’s usual scratching posture. The box measures 17.6 x 8.7 x 5.3 inches, offering a defined place to lounge alongside the pad. For a cat that likes to stretch out while scratching or resting, compare these measurements with the space your cat typically uses at home.

## Who it’s for

This set is intended for indoor cats and is listed for all breed sizes and life stages. It can work well in a living room, bedroom, or other familiar space where you want to give scratching and lounging a clear place of their own. The combined format is especially practical for households that prefer one compact setup over separate scratching and resting products.

It’s a great fit if you want a reversible cardboard scratcher with a box that doubles as a lounge spot. Buyers commonly describe cats enjoying the scratcher and appreciate its sturdy feel, however, some report that the size feels small for larger cats. That feedback makes the listed dimensions useful when deciding whether the pad and box suit your cat and available floor space.

## When it makes sense

Choose this MECOOL set when you want to offer an indoor cat a dedicated scratching surface while also providing a nearby place to settle. The reversible pad gives you two sides to use, and the box adds a resting function without requiring a separate bed in the same area. Its everyday appeal comes from combining those activities with included catnip in a straightforward floor setup. For homes looking to direct scratching toward a specific surface and keep a lounge spot close at hand, it brings both uses together in one cat-focused arrangement.
