## Description

## Strengths

The cross-shaped 3.7mm opening is designed to fit a matching toggle switch shaft, giving you a practical replacement tip for a compatible electric guitar. Its firm-fit design helps keep the cap seated during pickup selection, while the bright red color adds a distinct accent that is easy to spot on the guitar.

This set includes five plastic switch tips, making it useful when replacing several caps or keeping spares on hand. The tips are intended for both 3-way and 5-way pickup selector switches, so the key fit check is the switch’s opening style and size rather than the number of selector positions alone.

## Key points

Each tip measures 8.7 x 14.5 mm (0.34 x 0.57 in), with a 3.7mm-diameter cross opening. That opening is designed for compatible cross-opening toggle switches. The caps are made of plastic and finished in red, combining a functional grip point with a visible color detail.

These are replacement tips, not a complete pickup selector. If the existing switch works and the part needing attention is its cap, replacing the tip offers a focused alternative to changing the whole selector assembly. The five-piece quantity also provides additional caps for future replacements or other compatible guitars.

## Usage tips

Before installation, check that the guitar’s switch uses a 3.7mm cross opening. Match the tip’s interior shape with the existing switch shaft, place it on the shaft, then rotate clockwise until firmly seated. Installation requires no tools. A careful fit check helps the cap align with the switch and stay in place during use.

For a straightforward setup, identify the pickup selector on the guitar and compare its shaft and opening with the tip before pressing it into position. Once installed, use the switch as usual to select pickups. The red finish can also make the selector easier to distinguish visually from other hardware on the guitar.

## Practical questions

**Do these tips work with both 3-way and 5-way selectors?** They are designed for both 3-way and 5-way pickup selector switches, provided the switch has a compatible 3.7mm cross-shaped opening.

**How do you install a switch tip?** Align the cross-shaped interior with the switch shaft and rotate the tip clockwise until it is firmly seated. No tools are required.

**How many tips are in the set?** The package includes five red plastic switch tip knobs, each measuring 8.7 x 14.5 mm (0.34 x 0.57 in).

## Should you buy it?

Choose this five-piece set when you need red replacement caps for compatible electric guitar selector switches and want to keep the existing switch hardware in place. The 3.7mm cross opening, tool-free installation, and fit for both 3-way and 5-way selectors make it a practical choice for replacing a worn or missing tip, as long as the guitar’s shaft matches the specified opening.
